The analogue TV transmission is suppose to be stopped this year right?
It's weird to see that not many places(besides online) promoting the T2 boxes.
Or is it just my area?
Digital TV Station Malaysia, How do I tune to digital TV station?

QUOTE(joshhd @ Feb 2 2017, 02:31 PM) Not to say "suppose" to end this year for Malaysia... I see...so many delays here and thereIf you say Singapore, then yes they indeed planning to shut off analogue TV signals earlier by end of this year 2017. For Malaysia, most likely will be end of 2018, which is the same as what all Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, Brunei agreed to shut off analogue TV signal in the year 2018. |

Just bought a K2 DVB T2 box from lazada and fired up the box.
Setup was simple although you do need some time to align the antenna especially if using indoors and landed area but thankfullysignal wasn't a problem in the Klang Valley when properly aligned. My outdoor antenna can't get any signal, with or without booster probably due to misalignment after being neglected for so many years. So I used the indoor antenna with booster and managed to get roughly 70% strength and quality after some adjustments. I got 10 channels with good picture quality but I'm not sure how many of them are in actual HD or upscaled but definitely better than SD Astro channels. There was minimal signal interruption after proper alignment and definitely better than analog tuning where I only got 2 blurry channels. |

QUOTE(caviars @ Feb 17 2017, 04:40 PM) Looks something like thishttp://www.lelong.com.my/indoor-tv-antenna...7-01-Sale-I.htm QUOTE(joshhd @ Feb 18 2017, 02:55 AM) As of now it is still in test transmission phase, all channels are in SD quality except Al Hijrah which is in HD. For me it looks better on than SD Astro channels, however I can't say that the resolution is close to HD as it still looks a bit blur. Why is it better picture quality if you would compare with the one you watch on Astro? It is because digital TV nowadays uses MPEG4 (also known as H.264) video codec while Astro still using the old MPEG2 video codec for the sake of legacy Astro set-top-boxes. In simple English, MPEG 4 (H.264) is a newer generation video codec which able to offer better overall picture quality in a lower video bitrate compared to old MPEG2 video codec, which is the opposite. HD Astro channels look better at the moment. I put a short review on the box here: http://toomalaysian.blogspot.my/2017/02/di...n-malaysia.html |

QUOTE(truelife @ Feb 25 2017, 02:39 PM) K2 brand is too light and it looks cheap and low quality. K2 does not have manual buttons for volume and channel. It depends solely on remote control. The decoder will face problem if the remote control is missing or damaged. the android and tuner box combo sounds tempting but only 1 GB RAM and 8gb Rom.I think the one shown by Maxeos is a better option. At least we can see manual buttons on the decoder. When buying digital TV tuner box, below is my list of the most important criteria: 1) support DVB-T2 (must have the wording DVB-T2 on the decoder, not DVB-T) 2) manual buttons for channels and volume on the decoder 3) come with remote control 4) display TV channel on the decoder screen 5) HDMI port 6) USB port I think some good DVB-T2 tuner decoders below. http://www.lazada.com.my/full-hd-1080p-dvb...uk-9131616.html http://www.lazada.com.my/ki-plus-k1-plus-1...x-13012167.html http://www.lazada.com.my/receptor-satellit...r-18480907.html If got more ram and memory can consider. So, which one are you currently using? |

QUOTE(MrSpeedy @ Feb 26 2017, 12:55 AM) Try this instead: This model looks a lot better than the other one mentioned.Kii Pro Android 5.1 2GB ram 16GB rom DVB-T2/S2 (T2 for MYTV, S2 for "tembak burung - yes CCCAM and OSCAM supported") Currently I'm using this device. Yes it's quite pricey, but worth it for Live + Android. Additional note: I'm using custom Android ROM for better experience. But the stock LiveTV app still crappy in terms its UI. Malaysk's Android 5.1 for Kii Pro Eventually if experienced or want to live in the edge you can try LibreElec OS (basically KODI OS) and use TVHeadend add on to scan live TV: LibreElec 8.0 for Ki Plus / Kii Pro Only problem is that some users report that internal DVB-T2 failed to scan, have to use external USB tuner to scan first then use internal one. Haven't tried the latest version, I will try during semester break. There's also Vitmod OS which unfortunately is supported by Russians so very hard to understand the instructions in their forum. Too bad I don't have the time to play with another TV box right now. |

QUOTE(work_tgr @ Jul 23 2019, 11:18 AM) My digital decoder is connected to CRT which speakers are faulty. It's hard to find people to repair the speakers. So I am thinking to connect the decoder to pc speakers which only has aux port. However, the decoder doesn't come with aux port, it only has Rca ports. How to do the connection? 🙄🤔 You mean this? The info I found so far was all about coverting Aux (from pc /hp) to Rca speakers. But I'm looking for the opposite way which is from RCA (decoder) to Aux (speakers). https://www.lazada.com.my/products/2-x-rca-...AyABEgJZn_D_BwE |
