Unfortunately not yet...
Hopefully it does launch in April 2015 in the east coast of the peninsular and also Sabah & Sarawak but then it will be under DVB-T2..... DVB-T tuners won't work though

antenna is common for all

It is preferable to get an amplified TV antenna if your signal is not good. Amplified means that it need electrical power.

No progress I guess. Taking so long in Sarawak although they are only testing one transmitter and only Kuching is being tested.

Speak of digital signal.....anyone from Kuching, Sibu or Miri can verify if there is any digital signal available?

I see....this is sad. Why S&S always get the end of stick? ohmy.gif

Let see if I can get digital signal from Brunei at Miri.
Need to wait until my decoder arrive from Hong Kong.
*
S&S this time gets the middle of the stick. Klang Valley will get the end of the stick but then they have lots of providers there plus the DVB-T Trials. Johor is also one of the few last but some can get SG channels.

I got my STB off lazada at RM96.35. A good buy I would say.
Make sure that your STB includes Malaysia in country settings

Kuching still has yet too get any signal too. Guess MYTV is taking their sweet time to do only one test tower in Sarawak. Sabah has 3 test towers. Why the biggest state in Malaysia only get one test tower?

Nope, I am going to crush your dream and bring you back to reality tongue.gif

According to astro awani news.....he is going there to give some "taklimat mengenai senario politik semasa negeri disusuli mesyuarat dengan para pegawai Jabatan Penerangan seluruh negeri."

He's on a 2 day visit so yesterday was politics (and broadband talk), so hopefully today would be TV (or MYTV) day. I don't mind dreaming as long as it's not a nightmare. biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif
By the way, tested last night still not signal yet.....
I'll post a photo or two if I do get it. Miri next year hopefully.
Any chance of you getting any signal from Brunei? I read somewhere that the DTT Transmitter coverage radius is about 70 miles (112 KM). The best reception will be within 30 miles (40 KM) btw. But I believe it depends on the transmitters quality and power.

Get from Thailand. Many choices, cheap too - starting from THB690 (under RM100). Even small town 7Es sell them. I got mine from the Thai side of Padang Besar.
*
Talking about prices I believe that if mytv is selling their set at RM200 then it will be cheaper than the one sold at lazada.. I know that some are selling up to RM400
do take note that the mytv set has hbbtv capabilities. Those in Thailand selling for cheap

The basic Thai ones for sure doesn't have HBBTV capability, but as far as I'm concerned it's not a priority for me. I just want to watch FTA TV 😉
*
same with me as I bought mine for RM96.35 thru lazada (K2 DVB-T2) now selling at RM92 but I'll be buying another set for HBBTV (can double up as IPTV rclxms.gif rclxms.gif )

I thought,  it's supported during the trial phase?
*
The trial phase is using T2. The only one using DVB-T is Klang Valley but that was the 2008 trials til now and only for rtm channels. That is not under MYTV.

Thank You for the reply. Wish they will include at least TV 3 and TV7.  I'm not that fond watching RTM. I thought it should already full blast this year. At least all TV channel should be in testing phase this year. Any news on the delay? sweat.gif
*
Sarawak will only start in December. was on RTM news some time back.
The rest will have to wait until further notice. You can voice your complaint on MYTV facebook page or maybe if you want report to MCMC

K2 doesn't support HBBTV.
Appreciate if someone can recommend me dvbt2 decoder with HBBTV capability please.

K1 does support but not K2.
Or you could wait for the MYTV set.
