 Digital TV Station Malaysia, How do I tune to digital TV station?

So if the TV already have DVB-T2 tuner built in, all I need is just any antenna, correct?

anyway, any idea if Kuching already have digital transmission? or is it limited to certain cities in Semenanjung only?

purchased the el cheapo RM5 in door antenna from discount store

tried it on my DVB-T2 enabled TV, zero digital channel found sad.gif
but can get analog channels but bad quality.

Location: Kuching


or do we need those amplified/powered indoor type? hmm.gif

connected my DVB-T2 ready TV to an outdoor fish bone 5 ft antenna

still no joy in getting the digital TV signal
only can get the analog one

Kuching Gunung Serapi broadcast center still down? hmm.gif

16km according to google map
don't have direct line of sign as it's blocked by house in front

maybe I need to adjust the antenna direction?

16km away from Serapi Station
external UHF antenna + TV with DVBT2 decoder
still zero channels scanned

all analog channel can get tho, just non of the digital one
maybe will try a boosted internal antenna next
