QUOTE(9M-MAS @ Jan 15 2016, 04:09 PM) Haha, maaf, tak ada. I just might when MyTV is launched nanti. Still experimenting with the various Thai antennas I have sorry I somewhat blur..so u buy Thai STB and antenna.. just curious can I just buy Thai antenna (with booster) and use with mass produce STB sold in lelong and lazada? can I just buy Thai antenna and connect to my TV if it support dvb-t2? can tv somewhat communicate with antenna circuitry? I live in remote area near Chendroh Dam, and in the valley to boot. Analouge signal only can receive TV3 at best. line of sight from Kledang pemancar to my area is around 40KM. is there option in Taiping Bukit Larut pemancar? really hope someone can shed some light in this matter. ![]() Attached thumbnail(s) |

QUOTE(9M-MAS @ May 24 2016, 12:32 PM) Kuala Kangsar should be able to get the transmission from Ipoh's Gunung Keledang. Signals's been up since February confirm running right now? I'm gonna hunt some decoder then. Been neglecting this thread for some month now TQVM |

QUOTE(izz70 @ Mar 1 2017, 09:17 PM) Put your antenna near the window and a high place. Use an extension cable. Do manual scan and wait till you get good signal. About mytv manual scan, can anybody confirm if anything can be done beyond initial scanning? Since it only shows scan for Channel but cannot go beyond that. Click menu and any other button on remote. Nothing responding, except on off left right up down and blue button. This post has been edited by fairx: Mar 1 2017, 10:33 PM |

Hi guys. Can I assume if analog signal suck (can only get 1 channel, washout / grainy at best) means no hope for digital? I live in valley between 2 hills. No clear line of sight. The only signal I can get is from bukit larut.

QUOTE(9M-MAS @ Dec 8 2017, 07:58 PM) Not necessarily - I've seen areas where they could only get one analog channel but with the proper outdoor antenna they could get DTT no problem. Where in Perak are you? I'm in tasik Chendroh area. Kledang blocked by hill at back of my house. Only can get bukit larut signal. I'm using cheap outdoor antenna just to try luck. Test with my Samsung led TV advertised as dvbt2 capable. Tomorrow I'll borrow my friend mytv box and will try again. I'm looking at intenet resources to get info about diy high gain antenna. Will they be any good? Right now receive TV analog only. I tried raising the antenna no luck getting better signal. Now antenna in ground. Same signal as when raised 20ft. I have Astro but want to cut chord as only my mom watch TV Edit Tried channel 45. It says 0 signal quality. This post has been edited by fairx: Dec 8 2017, 09:23 PM Attached thumbnail(s) |

Thanks for the suggestion guys. My antenna is cheap one with around 1.5 feet. So suggestion is to get the most element antenna I can get? If somebody could point me to the pic of suggested antenna type in my situation it'll be very helpful.

Woah time is running out.
I bought some aluminium tube to construct diy uhf antenna and also bought booster. However if still can't get proper signal guess my last salvation is to get S2 decoder. Does mytv DTH can be received with Gtmedia v7 plus + standard Astro dish? Just wanna make sure before order, before the price soars. Who knows. Edit. Just checked lyngsat. Asiasat 9 mytv (green) encrypted? Sorry satellite noob here. * sudah berpatah arang dengan Astro This post has been edited by fairx: Aug 6 2019, 05:59 AM |

I think my situation is difficult. My last effort is booster + diy high gain antenna. If still can't get signal I'll have to suck up to njoi.
Also if sat box can get tv1 and tv3 SD also good enough for my mother. I don't watch TV. |

QUOTE(joshhd @ Aug 7 2019, 01:42 AM) Using booster to receive digital TV is not recommended, and very likely you'll get "No Signal" (not able to watch at all). Thanks. I'm building one now. Just bought pvc pipe for. Boom and 12mm x20 ft aluminium tube. All below 25 ringgit. For digital TV, receive "too much" signals can make it become "No Signal" due to signal overload on the TV tuner. Don't worry, it won't cause damage, but you can't watch it though. Consider these options: 1) Change and lay new cabling that connects from antenna to your TV, especially if the cable is very old already (e.g. more than 10+ years). If your old cable type is 3C2V (as shown on picture), then you seriously should get it changed. It's very old already. ![]() Make sure use RG6 coaxial cable, which is the same cable type used for Astro. make sure the cable is connected directly from antenna's output port straight to your TV's antenna input, without any cable splitter or signal booster connected in between. 2) If lay new cable still can't receive, can take photo of your outdoor antenna? See how it looks like. It depends, you might consider buy new UHF antenna. Btw how's your DIY high gain antenna look like? Anyhow, any inquires on receiving digital TV signals, you may call myFreeview customer service at 1800-18-1088. It is a toll free number. I'm looking at yagi calculator. What frequency should I use as reference? Start from 470 or use 666 MHz? TIA Edit just cut my tube length using 670MHz as reference freq This post has been edited by fairx: Aug 7 2019, 05:49 PM |
