Hi, I have a problem with my newly purchased DVB-T2 box. I plugged the box into my tv with the existing tv antenna coming out from the condo (in PJ area) wall antenna socket, and scanned for channels. Only RTM and TV3 channels came up, like 5 of them, all worked ok. But Media Prima channels like TV9, 8TV and such cannot be found even after repeated scans, anyone knows what can I do? Will buying a digital antenna help? Thanks so much.

Can you confirm again what are all the channels you can receive on digital TV? List out all channel names.

How about the signal strength % reading? Is it high, like over 70% or something?

I am not at home now so I will just recall from memory. There was RTM1, RTM2, TV3, BES, and a Sports HD (unsure).

The signal strength is about 50% or less, definitely not 70-80% range.

If you're sure that you can get RTM channels and TV3 HD, then I'm sure you can receive all 2 frequency mux for the digital TV. Have you tried auto scan again or something?

Signal strength for about 50% seems pretty weak to me.
Check the condition of your antenna cable, or connect another new cable. Make sure it's the RG6 type, not those "not so good quality cable types" such as 3C-2V or 5C-2V.

If problem still persists, contact your building management to check their centralise antenna MATV system.

Ok thanks for the advice. Yes I am sure I can see RTM very clearly and have done multiple scans, but my cheapo cable may be the cause, and I didn't know there are different types. Thank you.

yup agreed. signal quality should be at least 80%
my experience, if signal quality drops less than 80%, i can only get 1 MUX, not both.

Ok thanks, let me find out later if it's indeed the cable @joshhd @AV_2018 @ajay67
