I try myfreeview decoder, with normal old type rabbit antenna (without power booster type) no signal at all.
I go electrical shop and ask, they also dare not guarantee their UHF antenna can get good signal, and not cheap either!
Digital TV Station Malaysia, How do I tune to digital TV station?

Guys, when use manual search how long it will take?
Reason i ask, because i use auto search about minute show no program. But when i go for channel 45, it take few seconds then show me no program again. So fast within few seconds it scan all? Or any part i did wrong? I stay at Setapak condo, by right quite near to station. I try indoor cheap antenna and master antenna.. both also nothing... |

QUOTE(joshhd @ Aug 19 2019, 08:47 PM) KL area, manual search 666MHz and 698MHz. If you manual search the exact frequency, you'll get the channels in seconds. Almost no need to wait long. Thanks for reply.Your indoor antenna, is it require any external power source, like is it the one that need electricity to power it up? If yes, make sure the Antenna Power setting is set to On. If not, make sure it's set to Off. Have you tried relocate and realign your indoor antenna? Can take pic of your antenna, and possibily your balcony view to see if there's any obstructions. As for master antenna, if u can't get any digital TV channels, you got to contact your building management to see if the centralise antenna supports digital TV. Cuz if not, they got to upgrade it. If they don't wanna upgrade, you got use own antenna then. Yes, channel 45 is 666MHz, i did try 47 & 49 with the 'ANS Power' on or off, still no luck. It search too fast, until i not sure it really search or not? But strange thing is the shop on my ground floor using indoor antenna with power booster able to receive it clearly! I'm higher but different block, suppose able to get as well. Maybe is my cheapo antenna. I try upload tomorrow. |

I saw the shop using something like this Indoor Standing Amplified TV Antenna |

QUOTE(lkm51 @ Aug 27 2019, 04:24 PM) sad to say til date im still unable to detect digital signal at my condo using the condo antenna.. use the indoor antenna but make sure long enough to place at windows or balcony.im located in Tmn Melawati KL.. can detect analogue channel but not digital, maybe because im located too far from the nearest broadcast tower? I at Danau Kota condo, same like you, condo antenna... get nothing. I use indoor antenna (without booster) also nothing. until i borrow a longer indoor antenna, i place it at balcony, then manage to get all the signal... but still not practical, as if i want to close the glass door, i need to keep the antenna back... Hope is for time being, until the management upgrade the centralize one. |

QUOTE(carerra @ Oct 7 2019, 10:45 AM) My TV can only receive 9 digital channels, namely TV3,NTV7,8TV,TV9,BNC,AL HIJRAH,CJ WOWX2,GO SHOP. Digital signal still will snow?RTM channels and Radio channels cannot receive. Even in analog, RTM ch is very very snowy(basically cannot watch). Is it different broadcast station? I notice after swap to digital, sometimes when raining sometimes it will lag... like one second, but won't snow like analog. |

QUOTE(joshhd @ Oct 7 2019, 11:20 AM) What are your location? Which state and city? Yes, Pixelation will happened sometimes when switching channel.Digital broadcast doesn't "snow" like analogue broadcast. However, if the signal is poor, pixelation will appear, similar like playing a scratched DVD movie disc. If you experience some signal interruption during weather changes like raining or can't receive certain channels like RTM channels, you might want to readjust your antenna. While adjusting the antenna, make sure to monitor the signal strength readings. Keep adjusting until you get the highest stable signal readings and the signal readings is not fluctuating. Are you using a new UHF antenna? Outdoor or indoor antenna? Is it in good condition? How about the cabling? If the cabling is 10++ years already, it is advised to change a new cabling, and make sure to get a RG6 coaxial cable type (not the super old 3C-2V type). I'm using building centralized antenna now, they just change the UHF antenna. Not sure which cable type, but the condo more than 10 years, so won't be RG6. Same when i use indoor antenna, once a while it will lag for 1 second... The MYTV decoder also not that powerful as when press the remote control the respond also delay 1~2 seconds. Overall was ok, as long can watch with clear picture. |

QUOTE(Jacli @ Oct 29 2019, 10:43 PM) Cheap rabbit ears type not work for me. I at Danau Kota, PV condo.QUOTE(joshhd @ Oct 30 2019, 10:20 AM) It is known that certain areas in Wangsa Maju has some reception. Anyone stay in Wangsa Maju here, do share your experience of the reception. I at Danau Kota, Setapak. Indoor antenna get nothing, try cheap rabbit ear and another type also can't.You got to use outdoor UHF antenna for better reception. If you dont have one, or u have one but many years already, consider change new antenna and RG6 coaxial cable. Make sure no signal boosters are used. At the end use those portable antenna with detachable stick and magnetic based then stick at my balcony only can get all the signal. Hope this help. |

QUOTE(rioven @ Oct 31 2019, 04:09 PM) Im in Taman Ibu Kota (near to danau kota) using indoor antenna with amplifier, but need properly adjust to get best signal (really try hard to get around 60-80% signal quality). im so lazy to install outdoor antenna. Sometimes heavy rain can degraded signal quality a bit. ya, indoor antenna with amplifier will work if lucky. I saw the shop lot at ground floor using it well.Luckily now the building already install the centralize UHF antenna, so no need to use already. |
