Hi,

normally didnt watch TV except my mom, but it always snowing, i assume becoz no tv antenna installed. Feel bad for her, wanna fix it for her before this mother day.

wat should i do, we are using a panasonic PLASMA TV i think bought 4 - 5 years ago. Can support so call Digital TV station ? how to do it ?

Please teach me the simplest way to check and buy the equipment. i expect some plug and play equipment, not big bulky item.

Thanks.....

TV ensemble after 2007 normally came with DVT tuner. If you want to check you TV have DVT or not just go to setup and auto tuning. You will see there was a TV programme, DVT and radio. If you didn't see it. Your TV tuner didn't support DVT.

I dont think so la. Even those sold today in shops not all have DVT. Unless you are referring to other countries like EU, our Malaysia government hasn't make it mandatory for manufacturers selling here to install DVT

You are right. Unless you bought high end TV.

what is the antenna do? does it's a outdoor antenna?
*
The picture with antenna is a dvb-t donggle. This donggle is attached to your pc or notebook to watch digital tv. Of course it is indoor antenna. This antenna is use if you live near the transmitter tower.

Hi,

Is Malaysia using DVB-T or DVB-T2? The last time I dabbled on DTT RTM was trialling over DVB-T.
*
Malaysia is using dvb-t2 for their digital terrestrial TV. Dvb-t is for rtm testing broadcast in klang valley only.

oh ... haha, thanks for the info, was lazy to google earlier. I wouldn't think too far now since trial phase is not even started in sarawak. Tested last night with digital DVB-T mobileTV, scan then the result is " 0 channel" sweat.gif  sweat.gif

hey guys,

i maybe missed out your whole conversation. But could you advice if Astro dish can be used for DVB T2?

My TV dont have DVB T2, but i am planning to purchase devices which have DVB T2 features and plug in using my unused Astro Dish ( which also already hook outside) before i terminated ASTRO.

i live in an Apt.
