malaysia is use dvb t2 rolleyes.gif not dvb t hmm.gif

Is DVB-T compatible with DVB-T2?
Although DVB-T2 is supposed to be backwards compatible with the DVB-T standard, DVB-T receivers cannot use DVB-T2 signals. It is, therefore, advisable when buying a digital TV or a receiver to check that it is based on the DVB-T2 standard not DVB-T.

RTM has been using DVB-T for its own trial since 2006. MyTV, which is going to bw huilding, operating and maintaining the Malaysian digital TV infra, will be using DVB-T2. For now DVB-T is limited to Klang Valley and it is not certain it will continue once MyTV conpletes its nationwide expansion

Looks like a DVB-T2 tuner/STB would still be needed in my case. Thanks !
