Are there any our neighbor countries which provide 4k digital TV broadcast so that I could estimate when should I upgrade my 1080p TV to 4k.

QUOTE(work_tgr @ Jun 14 2019, 10:48 AM) Are there any our neighbor countries which provide 4k digital TV broadcast so that I could estimate when should I upgrade my 1080p TV to 4k. So far there is no neighbouring countries transmit digital TV channels in 4K UHD, and that shouldn't be your main reason why you should not upgrade to UHD TV. When you have UHD TV, you can make sure that your TV can support 4K UHD and be able to watch 4K UHD content in near future. Example, you can play your own 4K UHD videos from your USB drive by connecting it to a UHD TV, or you can enjoy selected shows in 4K quality if you subscribe to Netflix RM51/month plan. Just go ahead with 4K UHD TV. There's no bad reason to not go for 4K UHD TV, and 4K UHD TVs is getting affordable nowadays. |

QUOTE(yongtjunkit @ Jun 14 2019, 10:24 PM) if the epg not updated, it's still useless, need manually press your record button. btw, official mytv's epg is so lagging, change channel still showing the previous channel's epg. |

Not only that. MYTV doesn't attempt to carry EPG for other multiplexes. So that if you are watching TV3, you won't get EPG from RTM channels. This is the same when watching RTM channels on MUX 2, you won't get Media Prima EPG.This post has been edited by shaun_kok: Jun 15 2019, 09:36 AM |

Depends on location. Try relocate, realign or use other TV antenna to see if issue persists. |

Just to share, my house previously uses an old antenna and we can only received digital TV for RTM and the radios. Then we changed the antenna to a newer one, that supports digital signal, and we now managed to received all HD channels! So maybe you need to change the antenna. Also make sure the antenna faces the closest transmission tower in your area. I used this page. |

My experience before, after upgrade of transmission tower, no more issue with signal reception. I am using 'rabbit ears' old generation of indoor UHF antenna. My previous harwork to change and relocate antenna, reinstall cable, climbing up to rooftop and etc etc was really a joke, but I treat it as experience. |

Don't expect much for FTA channels. Even Singapore is still stuck in 1080i, not yet 1080p.Malaysia FTA channels, on the other hand, are struggling in SD format mostly. |
