Like TV Al-Hijrah HD. Till now astro not even bother to get HD feed after Measat 3b launch. Previously, TV Al-Hijrah claims that Astro cannot carry HD feed for that channel bcz astro lacks of Measat 3/3a bandwidth.

TV3 taken TV1 feed last year budget.

This evening will see true TV3 feed or have TV1 logo.
I hope Budget 2018 will get some improvements.

inb4 not many use MYTV. The rest of citizen will not knowing that TV3 HD already start transmission today.

I notice the image quality of 105 - TV3 HD is just slightly better than 103 - TV3 SD. No much difference actually. It is just like TV Al-Hijrah HD, not really full HD yet.

Can anyone check the current bitrate used for TV3 HD? It doesn’t look like HD. Only the live news show a while ago looked better.

Nope, still stuck with 4 (Media Prima one still pending, i assume).

Currently not all Media Prima channels transmit their programmes in HD 16:9 quality. Some still letterbox, very few is in 4:3.

Current TV drama in TV3 HD is now being shown in 16:9 format. But it looks like low bitrate, or upscaled from 720.

Not officially launched yet. We can see “SIARAN UJIAN” below the wordings Siaran Digital @Freeview for CH 104, 105 and 106.

If astro stop broadcast in mpeg2 there will be more HD channel. or free HD channel. maybe...

Now watching Bajet 2018 on TV3 HD. PQ is better than TV3 SD. I think in 1080i.

The channel is HD, but the content from TV3's side is not. It's quite obvious to see, when you compare how sharp/crisp is the image quality of the movie title at top left corner, TV3 logo and subtitle, with the movie itself.

3) CJ Wow

Nothing surprise to see. It's just a 24 hour CJ Wow Shop channel.

Bitrate comparison:
HD: Average 4.5Mbps, max around 7Mbps
SD: Average 1.5Mbps, max around 4Mbps

In layman terms, a bit better than YouTube's 1080p quality, at the same time, a bit lower than Astro's HD quality.

As for audio, all channels uses HE-AAC v2 at 32kbps Stereo. So far no channel is available in Dolby audio.
Overall, both video and audio is pretty good quality, and I am quite satisfied with it...

Agree that TV3 HD has a great picture when they broadcast native HD content (Maybe due to very good encoders used on MYTV, since they managed to broadcast HD pictures on just 2.5Mbps when MYTV does some testing for TVAlhjirah/Test Channel HD 798 when the channel exists who have softer pictures.) Audio is only in an acceptable level.

I have a Panasonic 60C430K tv and has DVBT2. But I cannot tune to HD channel in Menjalara KL.

Any reason? I live in condo.

OMG. Such reasons are certainly nonsense. Not only that the additions of these shitty watermarks are annoying but it is completely not required. I hope these can be permanently retired as soon as possible.
I agree that what SKMM said which the awareness for the DTT system is surprisingly low on the general public although transmission has been there for months (sometimes even years). The situation makes worst by having little promotion of myFreeview on local television.
Although there is much promotion done by Mediacorp about the awareness of digital TV, I can still see many TV screens across Johor Bahru tuning to analog versions of Mediacorp/Local (myFreeview) channels although the system is up for almost 4 years in the region (for Mediacorp DTT).
