I could not agree more. The faster and bigger bandwidth broadband like TIME is available only in Klang Valley. Everything Klang Valley. Sarawak and Sabah get last. Sarawak so big only get one transmitter. Actually they should ditch Klang Valley and emphasise on Sarawak.
Anyway those enjoying the facilities in Klang Valley are mostly foreign worker and expats.

As same as Astro, those dishes and the equipment does not come cheap and poor people will never afford it. Anyway I think they close eyes on the dishes as they could not (or maybe do not want) afford to spend on infra in Sarawak.

That is so true. I noticed great improvements for both TV9 and 8TV (even on Astro). They used have to like 240p resolution. I even seem to like their subs quality. Haha.

John, you should try using amplified antenna. I still get no signal without boosted indoor antenna. Manual scan CH 47 (682). Thats the only one working in Kuching now.

From what I know, this extended services by MYTV & the content providers are only available via HBBTV which requires a broadband connection and only available in Klang Valley.
For you to enjoy these services you would need a Wetek type decoder or similar. I have one but then I don't live in Klang Valley so ....
Somebody please correct me if I am wrong.

Are you using MYTV official decoder? I am using a Videostrong K1 combo decoder. Last I checked my red button not functioning. I will try again today. Maybe it covers only West Malaysia at the moment.

Any new radio channels? The myfreeview facebook page mentioned that there will be 13 new channels (TV & radio) coming. At least some improvements

I really have to agree with you. The public have to understand that MYTV only provides the infra and rent the services to the content providers. Astro provides content whether reselling programs with TV rights or their own content. MYTV content providers will also be looking to make profits cos nobody goes into business to make losses.
The content providers will be probably the ones to compete with Astro if they provide to the public paid services in future.
We won't be paying MYTV for the transmission other than the decoder (if you buy an IDTV then you won't be paying them anything). Anyway MYTV is still in development stage so you should not be really complaining for free services.
Just my thoughts please correct me if I am wrong.

Just a new sony internet 65" TV. You can only get the interactive content thru this or maybe the official decoder. It does not work with my hybrid box

Might be they need to use the funds to pay for World Cup broadcast rights. Who knows.

The cost of broadcast will be 40 million of which part will be borned by sponsors but its still a lot of money. Would more worthwhile to spend on the needy and poor rather than for entertaiment.

I thought that the red button function is already there for both media prima & rtm. Unless your tv or set top box is not hbbtv enabled. Mine is and the interactive content is easily accessible.

There were 3 muxes initially at Gunung Serapi but they turned off the other two.
Now its only 682.

Your dad needs to retune or rescan the channels. Ask him to try digital auto tuning .. also depends on what antenna he is using. If internal antenna then need realignment
