QUOTE(kundek @ Mar 23 2017, 07:00 AM) lucky i fount this topic....bcause i might terminate my unifi..but my mum need to watch local channel everyday..so i checked meĀ led tv got no digital receiver...so i need to buy Don't terminate unifi and buy this decoder instead. You get the best of both (three if you have a satellite dish) worlds.1.set top box with dvb-t2 2.indoor antena (cant do drilling for outdoor antenna) ill try look for electrical shop to buy.will update here the result I got mine at RM187. You can enjoy Youtube, Kodi and lots of others plus DVB-T2 reception. The DVB-T2 tuner has better interface than the cheaper K2 which I also have. The K2 is a good basic unit if you choose to go for it. I also have a K3 set slightly inferior to the K2. Will try to put up some screenshots of the K1 Plus DVBT2/S2 This post has been edited by izz70: Mar 23 2017, 08:13 AM Attached thumbnail(s) |

QUOTE(lonewalker @ May 6 2017, 12:00 AM) PJ area, lost signal on 698MHz a couple days ago, 682Mhz has been down too for a long time. I thought it might be intermittent signal drop after all its still testing phase. Hence I didn't bother doing a thorough signal, using a SDR check until today. According to Wikipedia QAM256 is commonly used to transmit HD content (eg Freeview UK transmits using QAM64 & Freeview HD transmits using QAM256).Found out signals on 682Mhz and 698Mhz is dead, no broadcast. Signal on 666Mhz is back active (was turnoff some moons ago, didnt know when it was turned back on). From the looks from my SDR spectrum its still 8MHz wide, but still no dice tuning in using opensource project: tvheadend on linux. Must be something non standard with the signal... Hooked back the DVB T2 tuner to PC (with proprietary tuner windows software) managed to get it working with stats showing broadcast at 666MHz with modulation changed to QAM256. TLDR: they killed signals on 682MHz and 698Mhz (8MHz/QAM16), signal is active on 666Mhz (8Mhz wide, modulation changed from QAM16 to QAM256). So we might be looking at more HD channels. |

QUOTE(munchoong @ May 6 2017, 02:49 PM) Finally bought 2 75ohm RF cables, running one from my wall to my Belkin surge protector, and another from the surge protector to my TV Can we have some screenshots of the interactive content please?Getting pretty good reception whenever it's not raining, since I am only 11km from KL Tower Able to receive 9 channels - TV1, TV2, TV3, ntv7, 8TV, TV9, BNC, TV Al-Hijrah (only channel in 1080i), and TVi, along with a test channel that's a duplicate of TV2. TV guide works on all channels except the 4 Media Prima channels, which do not have even the currenr program info. Also noticed TV1 and TV2 have interactive content accessible by pressing the RED button on my remote. Are there any other channels I am missing? |

QUOTE(munchoong @ May 9 2017, 06:59 PM) Not using anything... just the aerial RF cable connected from my wall to my TV, using internal DVB-T2 decoder. I assume that you are located in Klang Valley cos last I checked was that HBBTV is currently tested only in Klang Valley. Also assume that your TV is a smart TV with internet connectivity, right?Just press the Red button on the remote control to bring the menu up. Thanks for the screenshots. The features are pretty darn impressive. Might become better than Astro. This post has been edited by izz70: May 10 2017, 12:45 AM |
