For rooting and back up and custom roms, is it a must to have an external SD card?

nope, external sd card is your own build in 16gb memory..

Once you restart and you get caught in a bootloop post flashing the ROM. Turn off the device, wipe caches (better wipe the whole thing clean actually) and reboot.

Voila, it should work lidat.

Man VillainLite is noticeably faster then stock, that's for sure.

Wow was searching for "samsung galaxy S2 review" and found it reaching v5 in LYN...

I cant wait for my rubber case. Holding this phone in naked can easily slip it from my hand. I used to type text using on-screen keyboard using one finger but not anymore, since sgs2 has big screen

1800? Why so low? Even on stock rom, i get 3000+ on quadrant due to stock 1.2ghz.. i just changed to 1.4ghz just now for gaming (brothers in arm) now back to 1.3ghz.. i'm using villain 1.4 cf-root KE7 kernel

Got the phone yesterday brought from Maxis Center.

1) Warrentty one year or two year ? i ask the Maxis working people, they said only 1 year warrenty??

2) You guys can take valus 1st (RM30) + Dataplan or not? becasue here Maxis center not allow to take value 1st, only can take value plus

3) Should i online register for warrenty purpose to prove i brought the phone from when ??

Actually I have 2apn,1 for the internet n 1 for the mms.if disable the packet data,mms cannot come through,if enable it use 3g internet to retrieve.delete the 3g internet apn n leave mms apn,still no joy.
Reli frustrated...

Quick guide
If you just want to root only flash supercurio this is the easiest way
If you want to flash a new ROM start with a simple one. I recommend litening as it will not wipe your data. Get a feel of the process before moving to others. I will not recommend villian for a newbie but if you want orangepillow has posted tutorial. All these summarized in page 1.
As a STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURE, ALWAYS clear your dalvik cache, cache partition before flashing a new ROM. This step will not remove your data
The ROM cook will tell you whether ROM is flashable thro odin or using recovery. If you don't know what this men's reader page 1 I have post link explaining this
Always do a ROM backup from recovery before flashing new ROM just in case

don't think so. it happened just on galaxy s2 launching day and the problem is still persisting.
i think either one of the mods or lyn owner received a small amt of money from either samsung/maxis for this.
