Actually, I do not want to paint my roof.  blush.gif
I kinda prefer the current weatherbeaten faded look.  brows.gif

Now with funds shrinking with no direction.... rclxub.gif , its gonna be a challenge for me.

I can see you have gone through this phase before, seasoned veteran  sweat.gif

Yup, I've gone thru similar headaches and worries during my renovation time. U were lucky that ur contractor didn't cabut with ur hard-earned money. A little mistakes here and there in nothing compared to those whose contractor who ran away half-way.

I made mistake looking for a cheaper quote, ended up getting a lousy job done to my kitchen extension. The contractor declared stop-work after he hacked some walls and removed windows and doors. cry.gif

As we hunted for someone to continue the job, his workers came over my house to wait for their wages.

We had no choice but to pay them, and asked them to finish some left-over jobs.

Only 2 months later we managed to engage a new contractor to continue with other main works. More expensive but good workmanship.

3 years after moving in, we did another reno, to extend my car porch and tile-up the side yard, to allow more space to park our cars. Re-do the roof to provide extra shelter too.

Glad we did it early as the prices of materials shot up not long after that. smile.gif

Errr... from what I understand from your post you mean to have more than 1 receiving port (keystone jack with faceplate ) at the TV area , 6 port as you listed.
You have 2 ports at your TV area, you use 1 port and have balance 1 port unused.
How does a switch (what is a switch) helps to acheive this?

What is terminate???

Sorry for all the questions here. Technical dummy here.  blink.gif

Yes, I only use one port. And so far 100Mbps I don't see any bottom neck yet.

I use Mikrotik VLAN Switch for my TV area. So it can go to IPTV, and have extra 3 more ports for my IT Equipments. http://routerboard.com/RB250GS

For my Network termination in my "server room", i don't use keystone jack. I use patch panel. See my photo below. I have some more LAN for CCTV, yet to put into the Patch panel.

I presume your used UNIFI...is the Mikrotik configured to hoke up to UNIFI TV channel cable too? Because the UNIFI default switch have pure a TV port that only could use on 1 to 1 with the terminal, and will not work if putting a hub or switch there. WHich given my trouble on my WIFI signal due to equipemnt seat at the back bed room, can't covered all area

It can be physically one cable, but virtually difference zone. Aka VLAN. Mikrotik can do VLAN for the switch. Is the smallest and cheapest VLAN switch in the market. Is pretty powerful.

Been trying to finish up the 49 pages? How much did the renovation cost excluding furniture and appliances? Thanks.

Would appreciate if you could break down by
wet works
ceiling
windows and doors
electrical wiring
plumbing.

If you have read on Pg 1, I've stated

Bought a second-hand basic house, totally without any renovation at all.
Going to renovate it totally.

Designer : Yours Truly  tongue.gif
Budget : Don't wanna think about it (scary  blink.gif )
What to Renovate : Nearly everything  biggrin.gif
Criteria : Cheap, Nice and Good.  laugh.gif

I still "Budget : Don't wanna think about it (scary blink.gif )" shakehead.gif

So even if I can remember all the figures I would not go through this distressing experience sweat.gif

i'm thinking of not terminating my concealed lan cable at keystone, but leave a hole and terminate it as normal cable with RJ45, saves up the patching hassle, BTW im terminating it behind a TV cab so, didnt exposed to view... wink.gif
*
Not a good idea, better use keystone because if move too much of cables you may risk snapping inside the core and repairing will be problem.

what is the spec of the pump (brand, hp?, Wattage?) & cost of the pump itself,
if u use it for upper story toilets, then ur water heater can be w/o pump, am i correct.

Have you experience Cat6? is even much easier to snap than cat5e. My office running one cat6, already have 3 points need replacement because too much movement.

Is not worth to save small amount. Much nicer with proper face plate, and less hassle.

Is yours the Florentino Cool model? Just got that today and am wondering how you've found their sofa, so far.
Bought the 2x 3 seater with arm rest and 1x 2 seater without arm rest.

I think its the same model as yours, if i'm not mistaken. wink.gif

Its grounfos UNI-E. Got it from zheilwane. icon_rolleyes.gif
Upper storey, lower ground, having a pump is to increase water pressure to your pipes so that all the toilets will have better pressure. flex.gif
Usually if water source,(Water tank ) is on the roof top, the upper storey has lower water pressure compared to the lower ground. Gravity is the main factor here. nod.gif

Yup, that should be the one. nod.gif

Compliments to your choice. thumbup.gif

There is another Gold fabric colour one by the same designer that won an award and is displayed in a gallery somewhere in Europe.(they say wan)
Wanted the fabric, but they say no as the designer specifically forbidden it. doh.gif

Abit hard to match gold sofa with most interiors, no? I choose a dark blackish brown colour for the sofa to match my interior.

Most of my furniture is a walnut type colour hence the selection.
