Thread purpose : To invite any geek and pro user that use Sager , Asus , MSI , Alienware or Qosmio gaming laptop to come in and tells about the pros and cons of each brand , and also
if possible if there're people who try both or 5 of the brand before can make some comparison and experiences with it.Hope all can share
knowledge and inspire newbie or anyone on choosing the right laptop for themself
**Highly recommend seller for above 5 brands gaming laptop to come in too to discuss over it.

Rules : No rude words or scolding each other , everyone should have own opinion , but can try to debate over what people mention but don't scold nor use bad
words.

When sending a post or reply at here , I recommend each user to vouch for laptop they prefer , like for example if i prefer Sager , after telling the pros or cons or discussion about it I would write "Sager +1" . Then I will add the person name into the correct brand in this first post so that other people who read this post can know which brand has the highest recommendation of all.Don't worry , you can change your mind if you feel you wanted to recommend other laptop instead of your previous choice which is Sager , just post the reason along with "[change] +1 MSI" , then I will switch you to the correct place.

LOL!! Toshiba Qosmio was once my desired laptop before I bought DV6. drool.gif drool.gif
BTW, I vote for Sager for its good gaming laptop. Not popular here locally but it is really outstanding for gaming laptops.
ASUS is seriously not bad and a good competitor but I still vote for Sager.
As for MSI, I saw a few models at the shopping mall near my hometown. Some of its laptop are quite cheap but don't really like MSI.

Ok wait will add in alienware , and remember to adhere the rule by voting which laptop you recommend with reasons , but no need keep vote on each post over and over again once you vote just on first post is enough the rest discussion no need unless you change your mind and decide to change to vote other brand

Added!!!! For those who has +1 for any brand of laptop , feel free to discuss about it like it's gpu or heat or anything technical about it.Again debate on each brand can be done so that people can get the clear picture of which suits them.Maybe something like upgradable GPU or CPU or any special feature of a laptop can be say out so that it would add more merit to it

Cooling system same as normal laptop? Where did you get that? laugh.gif
I used to own a Qosmio F60 when it was 1st launched, the temps are uber low haha thumbup.gif
The only thing about Qosmio is the relatively higher price for the specs, other than that, they're quite impressive (though I kinda hate the current glossy designs)
Newer Qosmio models are becoming more conserved in design, they used to look very extreme hehe~

....And Samsung looks like MacBooks lol laugh.gif
Seems like everyone is following the chiclet style keyboards now (apart from some Toshiba and Acer notebooks) sad.gif

By the way, the backlid keyboard lights for Qosmio are red in color wub.gif

Sager + 1

Pros:
- the conservative design makes it presentable during business meeting and yet still packed with powerful specs (subjective)
- cheapest gaming laptop so far. I can get Sager with similar spec to Alienware by slashing my budget by RM 1.5k to 2k. You can't find a starting price of gaming laptop for as low as RM 4k (refer to Sager NP8130)
- I can easily clean the air vents and fans as the laptop parts are easily accessible from the bottom panel without disassembling the whole unit. Consider after using the laptop for a year, it gives you a peace of mind in doing the cleaning.
- wide range of customization (CPU, GPU, graphics card, HDD, ODD, LCD etc.). Not many other laptop brands allow you to do massive customization.
- Usually the pioneer in adopting latest technology.

Cons:
- Warranty issue. However, we know that currently Prince J is working out on the warranty issue thingy locally.
- Design is as plain as normal laptop to certain people (subjective)
- Due to warranty issue, it's best for people who know how to take good care of the laptop (temperature monitoring, once-in-a-while cleaning)

Sage +1

Pros :
- Sager laptops are truly great in customization compare to the other laptops
- Sager Had and having X7200 Model, which is a super penalty for itself, as a dual gpu laptop support
- OverAll built quality of sager is good and they have used great screens in their system
- Cooling System is such a great and wise system
- It is not a overpriced brand fortunately
- Immidiately Sager ALWAYS offer the highest and best technology available in market with a WIDE rage of Choices (GPU AND CPU)
Cons:
- Sager company have bad warranty support and their support team is not really very well
- Sager is mostly a company focuson production rather than the keeping Cpstumer happy or not!
- Can see over the net people are having many issues with their laptops, it might give a bad picture in our mind , specially X7200
- Heavy and bulky laptops
- Design is kind of super normal and outdated, u bought a x7200 mahcine which costs u perhpas 5K dollar ! but it shows such a 1200RM laptop
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Alienware
Pros:
- Fantastic Design of laptop and its very fleshy, new and attractive
- Overall built quality of used components are good
- Good Screens always used in alienware system, so the buyer wont feel doubt in their investments
Cons:
- Minor issues always can be seen at BIOS setup and used components
- OverPRiced and expensive laptop
- Alienware DO NOT offer the LAtest Cards at Market AND THE DO HYPING in their own websites by SAYING THE MOST POWERFUL LAPTOP, its a big hype for those who do not have enough information about the GPUs

practically, any of those u buy will satisfy your needs.

Sager - Cheapest yet powerful
Asus - Great design
MSI - amazing sound
Alienware - superb eye candy

for toshiba cant comment on em as i rarely look at em whistling.gif

For MSI, probably u'll be getting either gt683 or gt780.

pros -
-both equip with GTX560m 1.5gb which has 192Bit unlike the 2gb version -which uses 128Bit
-amazing sound that will blow you away wub.gif Dynaudio
-built quality is tough as well
-as a gaming laptop, it's pretty light
-gt780 is equipped with steelseries keyboard + nice bling bling! wub.gif
-cooling system is pretty amazing based on my opinion.

con-
-reli expensive to get it locally at 7k+ due to SSD + blu-ray
-2 year warranty wid only 1 year global warranty if getting it from oversea
-not very well known in malaysia yet

Haha, I think you must type the following:

<insert your Laptop Brand> + 1

Then list out the pros and cons of your laptop brand.
Show your enthusiasm towards your preferred laptop XD
