As the topic suggest describe. I just want to know that if any of you guys intrested in forming a saperate 360 forum with me.

Main reason that i wanted to form a new communuity:

Hard to find Xbox friends.Most gamer here are Playstation oriented.
With dedicated forum we can discuss things easier and can have saperate subforum
360 community can gather together easier.
Frequent game nights can be formed.

PS: this is just a concept in my mind, havnt done anything yet, but if there is enough support, things can be done,

No, Not ehem things, Obviosly this is for original gamers so that we can play together easier (especially among Malaysians)
I had seen alot of this kind of small community in the west but there arent much in Malaysia, or Asian yet, so i come across this idea.The idea is to have a small group of active live gold member to gather around and enjoy gaming on the 360 or discussing the games on the platform.

Why don't you do it on facebook, using 'Groups'?

most of my xbox kaki also join gow group in fb...

sorry to say once awhile a few months back someone came in with the same idea & the forums some how didnt get any population, there is too little original xbox players, you can check that out by going to the ps3 section of lowyat forum then you will know what i mean... look at the post view, if you are targetting modded related info then u better do it better than (x*ox*sc***e.c**) or else its just gonna be a waste of time

- it is where 360 players are gathering.
- they use this site to gather then play on live.
- then they organize game nights on live.

TS approch me b4 at KGM chatroom about this. I told him xbox360 community is dead or rather, near non-exist.
Seems he doesnt give up.

btw about someone mention GoW of facebook.
Its is better if someone could made it Xbox360 Malaysia fans page or something.
Wat i meant was, GoW may be open to GoW player only, then wat about others games?
There are still alot gamers out there, that arent using LYN..
PS:If some of you thinking "y dont u make yourself", because I already have PC community to take care of. I cant do all things at once.

Well, the cool thing is that, if you already have a working credit card attached to your XBL account, and can make payments for points and stuff using that CC, you pretty much can overcome the unable to BUY applications from marketplace problem.

Without a working CC, you cannot BUY stuff, but you can download free and trial apps like what we do on XB Live Marketplace.

Basic feature wise, yes it could use some work. But performance wise it's no slouch.

10 votes 190 views, most likely the views are from the 8 or so people who have posted.

None of these people have posted anything related to games today.

The xbox subforums are like an even less moderated version of /k/

Tbh I'm not sure where the hardcore xbox owners hang out, I'm sure they're out there somewhere. The trouble is, a lot of the ol' skoolers already formed their clicks and do not want/need any new friends.
Maybe they're more interested in actually playing games rather than posting about playing games.

Which just leaves the newbs asking for tech support on their modded xboxes. sad but just take a look at first page of these xbox forums to see the level and type of activity here.

Most people that I know rather play the games instead of chatting here in the forum. We chatting whilst playing the game or in the lobby.
If the person asking regarding a modded console,..trust me...most of my friends dont bother about answering it.
If that person dont like to use microphone whilst playing a multiplayer game, good luck accepting invites for the next game.
I knew my gaming friends mostly from gaming events last time such as MW2 tourney, Consoul 2007, Midnight Launch for games,..etc etc. And we lack of that nowadays..
(all of the above are based on my friends list).

That's my point. Most people would rather play games than chat in the forums since.. this is a gaming forum. If people have question and posted it, and we can help then we try to answer.

but this being Malaysia most of the time it's gonna be about ppl asking about pirated stuff, then it all dissolves into a giant argument about to pirate or not to pirate.

Personally I think forming a saperate 360 forum is totally not necessary.

Most of the reason hard to find friends because you are new, haven't meet in game or event, not talking/using microphone in MP. I believe people will add you once they accept who you are (in game or meet the person).

So.. social more in XBL,gaming event,yum cha session with other gamer la.

Oh.. just realized my XBL tag isn't in my sig anymore after the death of MyGamerCard... let me just put it back up.
