i even tried my Pro700 MK2 with hybrid amp..

M50 is a monitoring headphone if you use direct to a hardware like studio mixer it will not need an amp but if you use fir pmp/cdp this is really need of it. You can try out some amp. But this model is doesn't really need a very hungry power amp. So just get a portable amp will help you to improve the sound quality.

Added on July 31, 2011, 10:38 pmnot sure about the a2000x, however the a2000 is very quite similiar to the ad2000 just that it isnt dark/mid low focused, and of course, it isnt fully open, and it doesnt have that airy sound stage. if you want me to use REALLY BLUNT words, i would say its like a woodie, using plastics/magnesium/aluminium cover instead of wood. lol.

Oooohh what CDs you're getting?

Actually i m looking for a good CDP which i can play my CD. Some CD after i rip to computer...the quality is not as good as the original one. I was planning to direct play from CD. Next time can buy better quality CD like those SACD or K2HD mastering.

glad ur so interested, just have to wait for them to return from jaben/AT. and hopefully they dont replace the drivers that are burned in. i did use it for really extended hours, 10+ hours on a go (listening to it personally by yours truly lol, not burning in lol)

would be a waste if they got me some new stiffened drivers

as for the pro700 mk2, i've tried its little bro the pro700, so i kinda got the idea. i just want to feel how "seismic" the bass is as mentioned by headfonia LOL!

If you want to use the SACD surface of the CD... You'd need to purchase a SACD specific CD Player though..

first pressing, limited editions.

quality wise, hard to tell. but if you're collecting them, first presses usually includes other goodies like posters/extra DVD or extra CDs. mainly to show you're a true fan/collector
