hm, just curiosity to know why you guys' mobo allows you to change the multiplier which lower than 8? mine mobo, msi k8n neo3 does now allow me to change it! when i lower down the HT frequency to 3x then it becomes unbootable, force me to reset the jumper! any tricks?

taken from http://www.short-media.com/review.php?r=300&p=7it said, QUOTE Once you start increasing the reference clock frequency to overclock your CPU/Memory, your overall HTT will begin to exceed its rated operating frequency. To compensate for this unwanted increase we simply decrease the HTT (or LDT) multiplier. There is a safe range that you should try to stay within:
Socket 754: 1300MHz- 1800MHz Then, Overall HTT Bus Clock = Reference Clock * LDT Multiplier * 2 my HTT bus clock is: 285 * 4 * 2 = 2280Mhz Ops! it is out of the safety range, the system is safe or not?

Is sempron really that bad? Becoz my 3Dmark 01se is rather low to compete with my friend who has A64 @ 2224MHz, x800 pro @ default, 512MB but mine is 2.4Ghz, 7600GT @ default, 384MB. He managed to get 26333 but mine is 19457. Quite low rite?

i read from the some site and said that the double channels only improved a small margin over a single channel. Sigh, 256KB L2 is really a big impact on the performance index...

but mine mobo is s754 and since dual channel dun give a big improvement so no need to upgrade to s939, soon s939 will be out dated soon as will be replaced by a new socket or AM2. that is my opinion...
