not 1gb stick perform better, it's becoz s754 cpu is built in with single memory controller, it's cpu limitation... if u put 2 stick 1gb oso same, htt might be limited

hmm...running at 2.68Ghz now...but my super-pi timings are different compared to wtm's 1...mine is 36.032secs cry.gif now priming for stability at 2.68Ghz

my 12v rail is pretty low..bout 11.77v when priming, issit alright?? getting a lil worried now...unsure.gif
*
it's alright 11.77v while priming, the ite is not accurate 1 smile.gif

so how high ur ram can perform? did u apply the ram setting i gave u? 9 prime 34.xxx in superpi after 1st reboot of system, not running all those msn, bt n other software btw

just changed to s64 2500+ and NV8, not bad though, doin 345htt now prime stable at 1.44v

mobo stucks at 350htt, will not boot after 350htt no matter wat setting, only cons i dun like is NF4 chipset is HOT! a lot hotter than dfi lp nf3 last time even though with the stock active heatsink similar design as vantec iceberg cooler sweat.gif

hehe sorry cant wait for ur proc n mobo, kinda urgent la tongue.gif

QUOTE(fendii @ Dec 6 2005, 12:22 PM)
eh? u bought ur s64 2500+ same place as you helped me bought mine ?
hehe i surely hope mine will o/c as high as yours biggrin.gif
*
not the same, i trade with superpc proc tht is earlier batch, but i choose M stepping for u coz i trust M will do better biggrin.gif

QUOTE(goldfries @ Dec 6 2005, 03:25 PM)
wahh so nice. my Sempron 2800+ only can do 300HTT so far. 8x300 that is.

should've gotten me a 2500+ instead tongue.gif save me RM 100 and get better speed.

maybe my 2800+ still has potential.......... hrmrmr........ why not you help me OC. hehe.
*
goldfries, u upgrade to the latest bios edi? ori bios sux 1 cant oc, n cyclone is true, sometimes 2 stick of double sided value ram limits the OC on s754 mobo, n i set all the ram option manually, anything auto will not boot at high htt doh.gif

QUOTE(Cyclone87 @ Dec 6 2005, 08:01 PM)
Try this setting
HTT - 337
HTT ratio - 3x or 2.5x
Ram Divider : 133% with 1T timing. K8 dont like 2T
PCIe clock : 101mhz
Chipset voltage : As low as posible. If high , it will generate heat and cause u unstable when under high HTT.

Try to Oc with 1 stick of ram. If u on two stick...use 100% divider and see how high u can go.

If you on Hynix chipset ram, like DT-D43,BT-D43,BT-J.
Row cycle time~ 11-12
Row refresh cycle time ~ 11-13
*
my sifu thumbup.gif notworthy.gif it's true nf4 chipset is really hot, i stay with default chipset voltage at 345htt, eventhough at default it's still a lot hotter than dfi lp nf3 last time

QUOTE(sidewinderz @ Dec 6 2005, 08:37 PM)
gosh..my scores lower than wtm's... cry.gif
*
sidewinderz no worries, maybe u din manually set all the ram timing? i get ~946 score at 3dmark03 at 335htt last time, ram is same kvr infineon be6 but with all manual setting, dfi will run faster with all the manual setting biggrin.gif or maybe nf4 punya pasal?

I already test K8 with 2T timing, and the result was like more than 200MB/s slower compare to 1T

2T enables me to run 1:1 at 325Mhz HTT (DDR650) but the score is still lower compare to my 1:1 1T at 313Mhz HTT (DDR626)
*
ya 2T sux, only looks cool, higher fsb in k8 oni tongue.gif

fendii, hows ur result?

Oh hi wtm, how's your cousin's soon-to-be rig going on lately?

As for my new rig, I dont think I'll be o/c'ing it for the 1st few days, not until I get my important downloads done..

By the way, does my naked rig remind you of Jenga blocks ? hehe

izzit? i only burned for 10 hours, but u recommend 2 days, so thinkin to burn again tongue.gif

now running 1.41v which is default vcore stable at 345htt, prime stable for 4 hours thumbup.gif

err,
1. shut off pC
2. pull out plug or whatever equivalent [as long psu dont connect to power sauce]
3. press power button to discharge capasitors.. [usually the fan will spin for a while, then dead] 2-5sec
4. put back socket n on
5. than on back the pc

aha seems sempron 3100+ is getting common in msia market now hehe, but it's a better choice to wait for s939 sempron, it's comin very soon, later s754 sempron sure all no use edi sad.gif

btw goldfries, u prefer ur abit or dfi mobo? my cousin NV8 seems only 100% stable at 340htt, eventhough primestable at 345htt for proc n ram, sometimes it'll lag when playing movies, increasing others chipset/htt voltage doesnt help, only choice is lower down the htt shakehead.gif

hands itchy wanna switch to DFI nf4-4x infinity, seems a lot better in tweakin but sux lookin n audio brows.gif

hmm...different bios offers different speeds....you should know that very well...mobo PCB also plays a part in determining the max possible speed for your processor...
haha...cyclone got his from dark..the only forumer selling the processor...hehe..perhaps you could ask him to do a bulk on it.. tongue.gif
*
ya thanks for reminding, DFI leaves me a good memory when i was on nf3 250gb, so thinkin the NF4-4x infinity wil give me another nice experience? tongue.gif

QUOTE(goldfries @ Jan 9 2006, 09:52 PM)
lucky i saw you ask me tongue.gif i prefer my nv8. the nv8 seem less picky when it comes to dual-stick RAM. i've tried same speed and divider, can work on NV8 but not the InN4x.

i've since RMAed my DFI but i've not tested it with A64 OC as current, lazy la plug in plug out. i'm not student anymore, not free la. smile.gif

i can't even reach 340 HTT, my processors so far are fine on around 275 - 285 range which is good enough for me. biggrin.gif
*
ic, maybe u r using 2 stick of ram n limit the OC instead? i remember they wont OC well if we set the ram timing stuff to auto, we hv to set it manually... well i think i'll hear ur advice to appreciate the NV8, less hassle, nice lookin pcb, better caps n better integrated audio thumbup.gif

QUOTE(soulfly @ Jan 9 2006, 09:53 PM)
nah.... i guess I'm done with S-754 for now tongue.gif

no more budget for pc. i'm working on my car project instead.
*
woot change toys? i can say ur rig is very good for most of the application now, some users told me tht the real life performance between s939 n s754 is actually a nope, only the upgrading or maintainance in the future only

i only know micronram is very geng, can do 280++mhz for it's 1 stick of 1gb ram, NOT 2x 512mb cool.gif
