sorry..but wats SPD? unsure.gif laugh.gif

SPD= Serial Presence Detect.

Let's say ur memory is programmed to run @ 200fsb @CL3-4-4-8. IF it's set to SPD, the mobo will run it at tat speed

Thankx sifu's for the infos. now lemme compile it.

1. Im stuck wif Abit NF8 mobo, since i'm thight on budget, agp thingy and hynix D-43 ram. sad.gif
2. Wif s64, average / most of 2800+ can hit 2.4G
3. Batch doesnt come in play in terms of overclockabilities; as long as M is the 3rd letter on the stepping, it's good to go.
4. S64 "Made in China" not having a good reputation among oc'ers.
5. make sure the 6 letter stepping ended wif BX. ( this is correct, right?)

Comparing s64 wif amd64 on sc754, which one will perform better in term of oc n performance?

Thanx all; sifu's n guru's ... smile.gif

Got that rite.

Go S64, consistent overclocking performance, cheaper and yet the lack of L2cache in it as little impact on performance.

the NV8 family is based on the NF4. Utilises PCI E vidcard

MM, i believe your talking bout NF8, not NV8?

Guess u've editted it:

NF8 = regular board with firewire, no S/P DIF In/Out
NF8 - V = no firewire no S/P DIF In/Out
NF8 - V2 = i supposed this is the full fledge board
