FIY, i n cyclone87 doubt good stepping for s64 will be xxMx no matter wat week...

my experience is, i bought xxMx stepping for fendii for s2500+, hitting 350htt with 1.4v only, n my 2800+ last time is also UPMW

goldfries, perhaps it's ur ram limiting u, or u didnt manually set ur ram timing on nv8 mobo

RAM not an issue. my RAM can do 226mhz no problem as i've manually set it already.

even if i want to OC my processor high speed, i would just make sure the divider is as such that my RAM is still around 200mhz or lower so that it doesn't limit my OC.

EDITED : http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc?id=66089

it's weird if 2800+ below 300htt, but 3100+, some of them hit the wall at 2.7ghz already biggrin.gif

on my case for sempron 2500+, the mobo refuse to boot n only works well when i manually set all of them

my case on the other hand

DFI - S64 can run 2.5ghz high HTT, pros : lesser heat  - cons : can't run 2x 512mb KVR (again, please don't ask me to get 1GB KVR. if i can i would have already. smile.gif )

ABIT - A64 can run 2.5ghz, lesser HTT but S64 can't run as it did on DFI. pros : A64 @ 2.5ghz. can run 2x 512mb KVR - cons : HEAT!!! but Ninja Scythe without fan seems to work fine, mid/high 60s but no hang despite F@H whole day.

ahhhh......... decisions decisions decisions.
*
no need say choose abit, 1gb ram is necessary for todays usage, n thts the purpose u buy ninja too biggrin.gif just put one fan to the ninja then kaodim lor, buy a cheapo icute 12cm fan RM15 oni..

btw take care ur NB heat, it's even hotter than the cpu doh.gif
