you pay for what you get, it's always true,
but then I want to pay more for better speed, the problem is my place dont even have 2mbps
and dont even think about unifi to come
Problem symptons:
-hits more than 1mbps speed at download start, then goes down to 1.0mbps in few seconds
-it still able to hit more than 1.0mbps speed, but not all the time
-users who used to have 1.3mbps or faster before, their dsl line rates still remain the same
-users who used to have 1.3mbps or faster before, when downloading at 1.0mbps(100-120kb/s), latency still maintain at low ping without lag spikes
-users who are always capped at 0.9-1.0mbps, still has their usual speed, but latency high when downloading at 1.0mbps(100-120kb/s), and will never go faster than 1.0mbps
it seems the current "1.0mbps cap" problem, isn't a hard cap, speed limiting at 100-120kb/s but not completely limited, because when you hit at 100-120kb/s your line still able maintain at low pings without lag spikes
if it was hard cap (completely limits you at 1mbps) you wont be able to go more than 1mbps speed, if you hit 100-120kb/s, thats your maximum and you gets high pings
put it simple, if your 1mbps was 1.3mbps or faster than that, the "new 1mbps cap" just like controls you only able to use 1.0mbps speed but still reserve the extra speed 0.3mbps or faster
