It seems to me if you are on certain IPs and using TM DNS servers, there is a lot of timeouts or page not found errors. Sometimes its ok, sometimes its not. Ping the DNS servers and it shows lots of packet loss.
If you change to other DNS servers, it seems to work fine. If you re-connect and get a different IP and still use TM DNS servers, it also may work fine. No packet loss when pinging TM DNS servers.
I made a report a few days ago. Although I tried to explain its to do with the TM DNS servers not responding properly at times, they called me back 2 days in a row to ask if they can send the technician over (the ones at the exchanges / ports). What is the point of that when it is not a problem on my side or the port? What a waste of time and resources.
And best part is that when I made the report, I already asked the support to ping the TM DNS servers and they said there was packet loss as well. They got no initiative to try it out themselves. So how can this be a problem at the port or my side?? Simple logic will tell you its not. Now I just try to get a IP without the problem and closed the report so they don't unnecessarily call with foolish request.
This is mainly if you are having request timed out or page not found errors. 1. Try to re-connect and get another IP and see if that helps. 2. If using TMDNS servers, try changing to others to see if that helps.

QUOTE(MX510 @ Jul 2 2011, 03:17 PM) IPNoc only check if they received high volume of calls to the VADS call centre i guess u guys can start calling 100 or 1300 88 9515 and press 3 for technical issues Make sure got report no :-) IPNoc should be able to monitor their network even without customers complaining. They do not need many or hundreds of customers complaining before they check and take action. It just shows that they are not bothered about the service they are providing to customers. Most of the time calling the 100 customer service will result in frustration to the customers and all they tell you is to do the scripted troubleshooting which has got nothing to do with the problem. Or they pass it on to the exchange / area technician to check on even though it has nothing to do with that as well. So the IPNoc probably never gets to know about the complaints or only much later on. Unfortunately customers cannot get to IPNoc or the right people who may check and solve the problem as Customer Service at 100 is the firewall / blocking factor to those people. As if they are some sort of "elite" group who won't deal with customers directly. Since you appear to have some inside connection with IPNoc, why don't you report to them as they should take your word for it. Or point them to this thread where many have complained.

QUOTE(MX510 @ Jul 3 2011, 12:25 AM) Ok some sort of issue TM routing team said they will fix it by 5th July due to internal issues . Thanks for those who keep complaining as this will notify them they are still having problems Didn't you post earlier that they said all would be fixed by 30 Jun? Now its 5 Jul? And what do you mean by internal issue? Its an internal network problem that can only be fixed by 5 Jul? or they can only fix by 5 Jul due to their own company internal issue - like people on leave etc and no one to fix it until 5 Jul? And is there an announcement on this issue? Customers have service disruption and there is no news about it? And 100 does not know anything about the routing issue?

QUOTE(cajun2de @ Jul 18 2011, 11:43 AM) just checked with tm nut call center they have recapped all those 1.5mb to 1mb. Apparently their new policy Actually I had mentioned this a long time ago. I was told by TM that once in a while they will do their accounting / auditing and do the re-cap at the user account level. I think this was because last time the technicians were giving higher speeds at the ports to customers. So they also capped at user account level then to prevent this from happening. Maybe now they are re-claiming back the extra bandwidth from everyone. After all, for every two 1Mb users they re-cap from 1.5Mb, they can add in an additional 1Mb user and earn more. Does your modem / router port speed still show the higher speeds, but speed test shows the lower pseed? This means the capping is done at user account level.

QUOTE(frags @ Jul 18 2011, 05:36 PM) Added on July 18, 2011, 5:57 pmI'm seriously considering getting the high end Maxis broadband now. Just hard to tolerate the below 1mbps speed from Stremyx. No2/4mbps. No Unifi yet at my place. Maybe its to make Streamyx users fed-up again so more will move to Unify.

That announcement is for the international cable problem from 01 - 07 Aug.
Apart from that, this morning (not sure from what time) until about 12pm, there was some other technical issue on TM side. I could get connected (DSL light steady) but no internet activity at all. Something was down on TM side. Or maybe they are implementing some new system to monitor or throttle our connections after all the upgrades they did last month.

QUOTE(Glitch90 @ Aug 23 2011, 11:59 PM) So guys just a news for all the Streamyx users. TM is gonna shut down streamyx by 2012 . I was working as a Unifi promoter for sometime and my supervisor, also a Unifi installer tells me that these a**holes are going to shut down the services cause the copper cable in a lot of places are busted and they are too lazy too repair them so they are pushing Unifi like hell. As a fellow Streamyx user i wished to share the truth that i've heard from the mouths of TM subcontractors themselves, which is like coming from TM's own mouth Probably just another way for the promoters to sell more Unifi packages. Copper cables are not only just for Streamyx. How can they not fix copper cables that are broken since majority of telephone services from TM all over the country are based on copper cables? Streamyx is an add-on service on top of the POTS which is the main reason for the copper cables. They cap and throttle Streamyx so users get fed up and go to Unifi instead. The "extra" speed that 1Mbps packages used to get seem to have been taken away, probably to push customers to upgrade to 2/4Mbps or Unifi instead. Sometimes you may be told that upgrading to 2/4Mbps is not possible because there are no more ports (who knows if that is true) and they may push you towards Unifi instead (if available). They have advertised right from the start that Unifi has data transfer limits but after 1.5 years, it still has not been put into effect. Probably because they need to push to get more Unifi users for now without the limits, then impose the limits later and everyone will be stuck with it.
