i think so too, so many problem when on streamyx..
while im on streamyx torrent around 10-100+ only..frequet dc and downtime.
i upgraded to unifi and got 500-600+ for torrent, connect for a week and still stable.
this svcks we have no choice..they keep svcking our money.

Guy, i have this funny problem with my streamyx. During the day my line is dam dam slow or as good as dead but come night time say after 8pm everything run smooth. Can any sifu know the reason behind it or should i made a complain to TM nut

Luyang KK, from 6PM until 7AM slow like turtle. You know what, I think even turtle is faster. 

...rising costs. TM Net has been slowing down the net on purpose to save themselves some money. Not one person is having slowdown issues, everyone is. They can save a lot. Even IF the cable breakdowns are real, then TM folks must be punching the air in joy. 

We just have to put up with up. It's too bad really. We have 1 dominant ISP and that's it. Every other ISP other than TM are just side dish - - you might like it or hate it but the main course is something you have to face.

I've heard plenty of stories of folks abroad with insane internet connectivity experience and it really saddens me. This is not a u tak suka u keluar concept, but a total fact... we can't just leave the country in search for a better ISP. Again we have to put up with it.

Our internet connection base/foundation is rooted in problems. No amount of care on the surface will ever repair the base.

In a way, I kesian all Msian internet users me included, seriously we deserve better for a so-called "rapid developing country". It has been many, many years. 

Those who predicted fiber optics will face same issues with Streamyx are absolutely right. Unifi/Streamyx no different. If it works, only a matter of time before another bump on the road.

I call BS on this one. It doesn't look like network congestion problem at all, unless all Malaysian suddenly online at the same time and cause Steam to drop from max speed to 20kbps

TMnet is certainly manipulating the network for whatever reason.

I believe this type or priority & bandwidth allocation are existed but i doubt it's due to that like you said. If TM has reserve a portion of bandwidth for them even if unused, we won't experience sudden drop at particular time, let's say 9am but it will be slow all the time since it's already reserved for them even if unused in early stage. So, business users should have been prioritized only if they try to access the network. It's marketing strategy to sell the idea, not their inefficiency on allocating their bandwidth.

Well, they want you to pay more, they give you more. That's it. 

TM call me yesterday and they say cable broken that's why the download speed so slow and they dont know when they can fix it

Use google DNS guys. Been using it all the time. Who ask them to block all the sites I use.

I bet those who don't access those sites won't give a damn. There's more to file sharing sites and I bet you know.

is it normal for TM to cut ur line even if ur late by 1 day to pay ur bills?

ytd i jz paid my bills, went home and found out that my line is disconnected, not the 1st time anyway since i have experienced this for quite some time, late pay bill terus cut line .

so i called TM and going to refer them to the receipt number to have my line reconnected.guess what the operator said? "sorry sir if pay by post office u need 3 - 4 days to get it processed". i was like WTF is that kind of BS, i'm paying to post office since the 1st day with my streamyx for almost 6 years.

so anyway i told her to refer to this receipt number and get my line reconnected bcoz its done in the past before. "sorry sir that's the job of the billing department, they are not working on saturday so u need to wait till monday"
