side gapped spark plug... PM me if interested... confirm improvement in throttle response... some claim better fc as well... more lively revs....
apa skywalkernium??...
bougicord ftw...
wrong... gap too wide (0.9mm above) will cause misfiring... this happens when u revs up but feels like semput semput... gap too wide for the spark to jump the arc... hence, u get a non-combusted stroke...
but gap too narrow (below 0.8mm) can cause less throttle response and eagerness to move forward... narrow gap improves smoother revs at higher rpm with expense of less response....go faster stuff...
- water pump pulley broken??... if broken it will emit mechanical noise... yes it is possible to break if the water pump is in bad condition....
- it is wrong to rewire the radiator fan to turn on all the time whenever u turn on the ignition... it does not allow coolant to warm up to operating temperature... engines running below operating temperature for long period of time is harmful and high fuel consumption...
- check for external oil leaks around ur engine block... a quick engine wash and drive around for a week will be able to diagnose where is the cause of leak (if there is)...
- if there isnt any external leak, it could either be internal leak (valve seal, piston ring, etc) or engine oil just evaporated away.... if valve seal problem, u can either just change the valve seal or go for top overhaul... for an old car i would recommend u to go for top overhaul... change and clean whatever suppose to... removing the cylinder head also allows mechanic to check whether ur piston ring is in good condition or not... if its not in good condition, ur mechanic should recommend u to either change the piston ring as well, or complete overhaul... in short, initial check up should be done urself (or any friend involving vr minimal money spent)... after that only decided to go for top overhaul or not... after removal of the cylinder head, ur mechanic "should/would" inform u if full overhaul is needed....
- recond distributor is not really recommended... get brand new one (if budget permits) or original halfcut ones....
- if both temp and fuel gauge not working, check the socket at the back of ur meter panel if it is disconnected or not... if possible get a working condition unit swap over to check if its really meter KO or wiring KO... wiring vr unlikely to KO unless being altered...
- location i cannot help... me from melaka....
below 100bux and below 100whp....
