my iswara kena stone chip on front windscreen... anyone happen to know how much is the front laminated windscreen replacement cost? <RM500? want to weigh option whether to just leave the chip as it is or repair it before it grows... (if replace windscreen not too expensive then also no point to repair as it will prob cost RM50-150 for the repair)... thanks all.

Is it a crack? They'll count by the size of it. They will drill a hole through and apply some liquid on it and seal it. Then polish off nicely. The pricing you quoted is quite standard. Did you apply rain repellant? Results might not be that good if you had applied rain repellant.

Why not claim insurance? Wait for sifu's to reply about insurance...

if you have been driving for long long long time with the screeching sound (and if it's caused by worn brake pads/metal clip) then better check on disc surface. If not I don't think there is any serious damage, it's an audible warning on worn brake pads, as long as you get it checked soon and not delay and keep on driving with that sound, it should be ok.

about the windscreen, yes i know about the method of repair, have done it for my other car before. i'm aware about rain-x, i don't use it.

just wanted to gauge if worthwhile to repair the small crack or just wait till it cracks then just change windscreen. it's laminated + got tint film so it will not shatter into thousand pieces no worries on that.

i don't believe in windscreen insurance, never bought it, never will
