I"m having some trouble trying to get the right tool to overclock a Dell XPS 16 with ATI 5730 1GB.

It's using i5 430M, 4GB DDR3 Ram with Windows 7 Home Premium.

So far the only overclock program i managed to run with success is AMD GPU Clock Tool v0.9.26.0 For HD 5870, but it doesn't have profile setup or smart management as such the GPU will be running the clock speed i assigned all the time. It also require manual input everytime so there is chance that i may enter the wrong number some day.

I've heard about MSI Afterburner is a good software but everytime i run it it freezes my Windows. I had same problem with SPEEDFAN.

Then I saw some people refering to AMD CCC, I'm running on latest 11.5 but i don't see any option for "Overdrive".

Then I installed AMD Overdrive evertime i launch it i get the blue screen of death.

I don't know is there any other stable software to overclock the GPU. Basicly i want it to run on different speed depending on the requirements but allow me to set the max clock speed i want.

I'm not sure about your problem but you can try EVGA precision.Don't OC your GPU to high sometimes performance will become worst.
