The "culture" in Malaysia is more toward "competition"; especially among school & college/university "students".

The learning, education, & even play involves sheer "competition". (It is all about fighting & beating the other opponent down...)

It is all about comparing & then striving to improve & become much better than the competitions. (Parents will spearhead, push, & pressure...)

Fierce competition is also happening in the applications to local government universities (in order to secure a place)...


Think about the working world as well... (Competition all the way as well; isn't it?)
