My picture of the day!

Camera 50D
Shutter Time 1/13
Aperture f/3.5
Focal Length 17mm
ISO 200

This is my first attempt for OOB pictures, I can't figure out how to make it look like there's a lake/water, other than the reflection itself.
I'm trying to make it so that the entire lake/water area is visible. Still trying!!

P.S which one better? I prefer the first one though

For me its better without any reflection effect, unless you create the reflection more real.
Nice OOB trial btw, kipidap rclxms.gif

Without the reflection, it will look weird with just 2 hands.

Can help me on how to improve the reflection?? Still can't figure on how to put a lake below

Annamir, I've always admire your post processing. Care to share some tips how you get that type of texture of the photo?
I compared some of my photos to yours (even from your flickr) they are all great and they are 100k miles away from mine.
I'm pretty much frustrated with mine I can say

Thanks sahabat biggrin.gif
For your Q above, did you mean texture of my previous photo?
If yes, then the photo is about the sunset sky's reflection on the lake,
no texture were used, it is originally an image of reflection on the lake surface,
and there is a little bit waves in the water.

p/s: Sorry don't know to translate this to English, hope you can understand it wink.gif

I have shots with less motion blur, but fire not as impressive as this one. Oh well, if you do 1/60s or so, this tends to happen as the cars are braking and vibrations on the front and rear absorbers.

if you fill the frame too much ,
left and right of the subject will appear obviously blur,

zoom out a bit more and make it more "centered" will make it appear sharper on whole thing,
then crop it out.

i did this when shoot aeroplane. biggrin.gif
