Hey guys,

Can someone recommend me a place around PJ that I can send to check the car balance? I hit a big pot hole and now the car feels funny.

Thanks

Try Massaga auto service, their alignment sifu is very good. thumbup.gif

*
Its the starter problem, many ppl complained they had the same problem in lots of honda city forums. You need to ask SC to change the starter. biggrin.gif

+1

I would strongly recommend to get a Forte 2.0 instead of a City and.. a Vios TRD that is seriously overpriced.

It is PU material. yes just use 3M tape to stick on trunk smile.gif

Yeah, it should look nice. My City is all stock, my neighbor have that duck-tail spoiler installed and nothing else, looks good!
*
my city no bodykit but using ducktail also, i love it biggrin.gif

QUOTE(uhlaw @ Apr 7 2012, 11:08 PM)
Just wondering whether poly is better in quality than ABS?
*
Yes ABS is better. For bumper/skirting, the material does matter. they say can tahan heat or what. but for thin ducktail spoiler, the material doesnt really matter i guess.

Huh? Does that mean it's true? 4 passengers = underpower?
What about 2 passengers?  sweat.gif

By the way, is this Caska reliable? Price wise?  hmm.gif
*
2 passengers the power still strong smile.gif

4-5 passengers no power if you didn't press harder. You want power it still can give you, altho not much, but waste more petrol (downshift to get power).

I think the power is not bad for a 1.5. Last year on a trip, my friend's (really) OLD Cefiro having hard time to keep up with me. Both of us have 5 people.

CASKA is branded stuff, so the price is higher than those Taiwan 7" DVD + GPS. Erm I saw it was priced at RM3000+ in a FB page.

I dont know how to explain.  M not a car person.  Apparently that helps to resolve the starting of engine problem.

They said my batt is fine.
*
Today I went to SC and complaint about the problem. They said its battery problem.

But I remember people in honda city forum said that its starter problem. rclxub.gif

Anyway, they changed a new battery for me since I am still under warranty. Will see how it goes.

You can try Air Ionizer or Odor remover pad from a member here called MyWifeCar. I'm using the odor remover pad, quite effective smile.gif

Hi everyone here. i am new here. recently i was looking into changing car. was looking into city at the moment. but i heard that the car is very soft and need very gentle care. is that truth? I need to car to travel long distance. maybe 1month once going to K.L from Penang as well as travelling daily in between penang mainland and the island. hope to receive your precious opinion here.

Also compare with Vios, what is the advantage of City and what is the disadvantage of City? Please help give me some opinion.

Thank You

Added on June 11, 2012, 8:06 amAlso, is honda city sound system nice or not? compare to vios which is nicer? Anyone have any opinion?
*
I think all the features (power, space, etc) are almost the same or no big difference.

Cons:
- Floaty at big highways (state highways) (not sure about vios)
- Door easily dent when people open door and hit your door! (not sure about vios)
- Not as comfort as vios? (my friend driving vios said my car is stiffer, but he loves my stiffness more than his vios, personal taste anyway)
- 5000KM service once (vios 10k KM)

Pros:
- Nice audio system with pretty good bass. Definitely beats vios.
- Better design seriously. Vios looks like dugong haha (the reason I choose city)
- Nicer and classy interior than vios
- Comfortable 60:40 reclining rear seats (all my rear passengers will fall asleep when I drive lol)
- Paddle shift is fun to play
- Slightly better performance specs
- City Facelift has sunroof. Which is pretty cool feature in its class smile.gif

---

I have not encounter any big problem for city until date (touch wood), except only one: the well-known battery problem which causes your car take longer to start. But you can claim free battery using warranty, because it will happen in 2 years I am pretty sure.

Gp test drive to feel for yourself which one you prefer. biggrin.gif

the front set left one was pregggie, due to budget issue, i changed the front ones only ... and moved the back ones to the front, and left the new set on the rear ... once the front one is done with, will change the front ones to the same set as well ... so far so good ... Achiles ATR Sport

Your ATR sport how long already? Mine is about 8.5 months and now started to feel unstable due to its (well known) soft sidewall. Yours doing good? hmm.gif

Installation of cruise control is not just adding few buttons on the steering wheel, it involves a controller inside the steering wheel covers as well.

user posted image

Those controller and buttons can be easily bought from other countries which have their City comes standard with cruise control. But the problem is, Honda Malaysia has locked this features and there is no way to get it installed, unless we go for aftermarket ones.
*
ahh damn. this is a nice feature. any good aftermarket brand? biggrin.gif

My bonnet needs hard-centered push to close. What to repair ar? Can spray wd40 on the lock get the job done? Annoying la to push many times to close bonnet.

Heyhey, just a reminder. Last time i lost the rubber at the fuel (those spring rubber to close & open). Tak perasan i lost it. Have to pay nearly rm100 for the replacement because honda didn't sell that rubber only. It include with those metal stick inside the rubber. So, need to replace 1 set if you happen to lost the rubber. If short on budget, have to use key/ruler to open. Kena kopek, salah kopek, body calar.

My stock battery only last almost 1 year. It's damn early. Since my warranty void by outside service & mod, need to pay for replacement la.

If i push my NHC S to the limit 160-189kmh many time (kl-penang), my auto-window went crazy. When i full pull the button for auto close window, my window will close then open til half. Tried to auto close many times. Sometimes it works on few try. Sometimes it's not, need to pull button until fully close.
*
Don't push to close the bonnet. Instead, you should lift the bonnet about 4-5cm up, then loose your hand let it drop and auto close. All the workshop guys close my bonnet like this.

This is what the sales advisor teach me too, she said if u push to close, it is hard to close and the bonnet might bend lol (altho the bonnet seems very hard to me).

My full tank RON95 around RM60-RM64, can travel 350-400KM in city. 500-600KM in full highway trip.

FC improved after 40000KM major service.

RM100 worth of RON95 petrol (I pump 2 times) can last me 800KM.

I cant believe it. Normally RM60 can last only 350-380KM.

what fuel u use? i only can clock 800km per RM100 if i travel on highway for most of the tank.. esso user here..
*
using Shell RON95. 60% highway 40% city.

I got shocked too, before 40k KM service, RM100 can only last 600KM.

I think because in highway i just drive around 70km/h (scared of speed camera biggrin.gif ), the FC meter showing at least 20km/L.

I'm planning to buy Honda City E Series by next year February.

I have looked at all other manufacturers and and the S series. Following is why I have my eyes on this model:
1. 5 gear with stereng gear shifters
2. 6 speakers
3. slightly larger wheels than S series

Would love any comment and feedback on this car. Thanks in advance.
*
You will be amazed by the sound system biggrin.gif

Gear shifter is really fun.

Big wheel is cool. but make it wider to 195 if you could so that it is more stable.
