My PS3 has YLOD'ed but i'm still gonna buy this game regardless, that's how much of a fan i am to this franchise... Online Tests from Gamespot have shown good results too

Sheer Awesomeness

My streamyx line have gone from stable to crazy slow these 1-2 days, i get 500 Ping which is totally not normal. So the lag issue might NOT be due to netcode. Just Saying... Hold your horses before rashly selling the game.

Target Action is Complimentary not Obligatory, if u do it u will get Hyperdrive refill for Combo Cancelling (B+C) or Power Gauge boost or both. Personally i think of it as a handicap system for beginners, i don't need it but some others probably will.

Well, true. Technically ash is her brother in arms/lineage-related, but elisabeth has feelings for him. Whichever studio help made that SP Opening deserves the right to handle a KOF Movie/Anime me thinks!

It probably will, but not too soon. KOF still has plots to dish out, the Hizoku Assassins thingy back from KOF 2000 (Lin & Ron) isn't finished yet. Ron escaped when Igniz lost. Kensou could be a main character sometime in near future... i remember KOF 2001 ending ron aims for kensou's Dragon Aura.

About Geese, SNK needs to continue Garou Mark of the Wolves 2 before revealing anything about him in KOF. Any Fatal Fury fans out there? i need to know what happens to Rock Howard

Need to purchase for 4.99USD, it's marketing tactics. They knew KOF got huge asian fanbase that's why Flame Iori was given Free for R3. Region 1 is da moneymaker.

i sure am the person lol... yes, the wallpaper changes from time to time. Each theme has 4-5 pictures. Personally, i like the 2nd & 3rd theme best. Just previewing for the KOF community tats all


Usually DLC characters are overpowered thus banned from tournament, maybe SNK wanna change that perception to allow it being carried forward.


I get yellow bars if hosting the match myself, which is not so good. Usually i let my friends who use unifi to host the match for green bars. There's a bit synching before the 1st match, but no lag. If using Unifi WiFi oso not very good, must change to wired.

IMHO the PS3 freezes when u play heavy 3D games (Uncharted, Battlefield). But if ur's already freezing when playing KOF (HD 2D) then it's probably really close to YLOD occurance if it's not due to drive lens prob or overheating. I'm not trying to scare u this already happened to my old phat ps3. U better cool it down as soon as this kind of thing happens else ur ps3's RSX GPU will start to burn like my previous one. When that happens, a mere 5-10 minutes session of gaming can easily shut ur ps3 down.

Just a reminder on how the PS3 spec is starting to "age" in comparison to certain level of games. Especially the GPU. Ppl can say all they want about the PS3 running ohsem gfx but it's actually forcing the old hardware to outperform itself. The funny thing about my exp is my friend who tried to fix my previous ps3 was running motorstorm apocalypse (quite a heavy game i'd say) for hours, when he finally return the ps3 back to me a mere 5 minutes session of Virtua Fighter 5 shut my ps3 down... i LOL'ed so hard that day~

If u couldn't catch my joke, VF5 was made to be run on an older Pentium 4 arcade hardware with GeForce 6 GPU. The PS3's RSX GPU in comparison is similar to GeForce 7 (7800GTX to be precise) which is newer and it still couldn't handle the game in heating situations. This is absolutely not flaming, i'm simply trying to clarify my exp on logical terms.
