Just words on the street. Seems genuine. We shall know for sure the next few days i hope, I think the club will be looking at signing players before the asia tour.

Love that Arsenal clip. Hilarious. Djourou sounds like a natural native speaker haha. Hope we come up with something better.

Different setup, different approach in game. And Scotland is not normally known to play cutting edge football. Adam is a decent player, not world class but then again Liverpool never needed a team of full of world class players to really succeed. We will have to judge him in the red shirt.

You will have to look deeper than footballing reasons to understand why scousers have the tendency to be cautious towards OOT. It's not just towards the Asian, they also show the same cautiousness towards other mat salleh OOTs too. Reason for this is quite obvious, the Sun exploitation and everyone else joining the bandwagon is one of the reasons why Scousers don't readily trust people outside their 'region'. Then there's the Thatcher's government which discriminated the people of Liverpool. It's not actually a super fan behavior, but rather a siege mentality of a massive social scale. You may not agree with it and that's your prerogative but at least understand why they are behaving in such ways.

I just got back from the arsenal game. The national team was no match against them, they were taller, bigger and faster. Anyways, there was hardly any atmosphere, other than the occasional oooohh ahhhhh moments. I think the malaysian supporter were the far vocal side, especially with their drumming.
We must do better. |

The stadium wasn't full as the side sections were mostly empty. Even the center sections were not full until halfway through the first half. I think it's because it's weekday and people are rushing to get there after work.

You cannot bring in food, drinks, lighter and umbrella. You won't get wet if it rains in the stadium, you can buy one at the stalls should you need it after the match.
Also i echo what some have said, do not boo the national team. Remember how we always despise our own for booing the reds at Anfield ? Remember the boos for Lucas ? That's how our local boys would feel if we were to boo them. |

QUOTE(Mikeshashimi @ Jul 17 2011, 03:09 PM) Datuk K you have my respect but please don't go around telling people what they should or should not wear. That interview really rubbed me off the wrong way. Saying maybe our local lad could win if they had enough color or vocal support. You must be mad to think that thousands of liverpool fans would want to see their team lose. Sorry but I'm not going to be guilt stricken over something like that and no one should either. It was an exhibition match ffs. And for tens of thousands of malaysians, it was a once in a lifetime event that enabled them to wear their shirt with pride so they could see their team in the flesh, to be in the midst of a red sea singing ynwa and voicing their support when their team could actually hear them. But this is not to say we've abandon our NT. I was conflicted as hell, i just didn't want both teams to lose. And majority of people despite wearing red, were chanting malaysia, applauding and celebrating the goals. |

QUOTE(blissandecstasy @ Jul 17 2011, 08:14 PM) Aqua was outstanding last night. and hope Kenny won't sell him. looks like he's getting stronger on the ball too, is it too early to judge ? I don;t think it's too early to judge, he's always been good even before he was loan out. He was shipped off because Hogdson lacked the eye for talent. I thought he was magic last night. He alone destroyed our NT but then again it was a 'meaningless' training match. But i think we could all see how good he was; Quick feet, quick passing and quick thinking. There's very few of that kind of players in the team and i think there's no harm in keeping him. I think he's a natural replacement for Gerrard should the latter be unfit to play. But then again, Aqualani's fitness is also questionable. Even if we don't start him, our bench quality will improve tenfold with him on it rather than not on it. |

QUOTE(all blacks @ Jul 18 2011, 11:45 AM) Fist was gud 1, was prety impress wif the speed n placing of the ball, 2nd was keeper mistake n third was outside so nt really impressed... He may be offside but the quality of the finishing is indisputable. If it was Torres or Carroll, we would be praising the goal to no ends. |

QUOTE(all blacks @ Jul 18 2011, 11:59 AM) Its just my opinion n even if it was Carroll or Torres I feel there is nothing to shout about... I was more impressed wif Ngog's finish, nice ball control n first touch n a strong short towards the top right corner... Would you take it away from Ngog had he been offside ? I think you have not considered the technical aspect as well as the degree of difficulty in the execution. If you watch the replay, you'll see that Safee had a keeper to beat and a difficult angle to work with which means he had to carefully place his shot - to top it off he was under the pressure from a defender. It was a difficult but well executed goal. One you would normally expect from top class players. |
