Ignoring, for the time being, Liverpool's ridiculous stockpiling of international centre midfielders as if they're the scarcest of commodities in planet football, it would appear that Kenny Dalglish is embarking on a policy of assembling a team to really frighten opponents… with their physical weirdness.

Not content with having Uncle Fester in goal, there's Martin Skrtel sporting a Travis Bickle haircut and a biker attitude in defence, while Glen Johnson with dreadlocks is a mean Predator and Paul Konchesky looks – and plays – like a corpse. (The less said about Jamie Carragher's shrieking the better.)

Then there's quite possibly the most hideous midfield in world football, with Dirk Kuyt shuffling down the flank like Sloth from 'The Goonies', Raul Meireles inked from head to toe like a goth, the forehead-less Steven Gerrard running all over the pitch, Alberto 'Vampire' Aquilani, Jonjo Shelvey flashing his junk to anyone that passes by, Luis Suarez chewing his way down the left flank with his humungous teeth, Jay Spearing scurrying about with his shrunken head, and there's Christian Poulsen, who might not be all that physically unappealing but his football is absolutely disgusting.

Now Dalglish has added to his legion of the weird with Charlie Adam, a man whose teeth could double up as a bottle opener, which will come in handy for Andy Carroll, who has returned from his holidays with a hobo beard and a beer belly.

If you've got a season ticket at Anfield, I'd advise never taking a child along with you as they're likely to have nightmares for the rest of their days having seen such a motley bunch of downright ugliness up close and personal.

hey guys. finally able to give my thoughts on that awesome day. let me just tell u how brilliant u all are. even strangers talk to u, just because you are a fellow red. the banners all around the stadiums, holding of scarfs during YNWA tho they played the song a tad too many times till it lost its value and meaning in it. i seriously dont get what rajagopal is unhappy about. as i thought malaysia played good at times albeit i feel liverpool especially the two 2nd half goals was giving a lil face. idk. thats my opinion. the 1st safee goal was a mistake by hansen. heck, we even cheered on for malaysia at times especially when they scored...i know i did. safiq's one was a gem tho jones is at fault.. wasnt rajagopal aware of that ? anyways, i dont have much complains, this is my first time watching a live match in our national stadium n what better way than to get to watch my heroes in red in flesh. i was at the green gate thru gate 2M, 108, so was able to recognise the players quite easily. just a good view right smack in the middle. the downside was, the sun altho i didnt mind it for 30 mins doh.gif and sadly, people sitting on the stairs till there is no pathway to walk. i wonder what if there is an emergency like if someone faint n all. heck even ppl smokes when we are packed sardine like in the stands. this is just plain stupid and uncivilized in our part. oh well, sad to say too, rubbish all over the place. come on malaysians, how are we suppose to move forward here ey ? be a more responsible and civilized citizen will ya ? wink.gif

back to the football, i know aqua played well n he was the missing link. but no offence, this is just our national team, we will have to wait for a more proper opponent, in a weather/surroundings same over in the uk, unlike the high humidity here to actually judge him. i thought he was given lots of space n time. n u dont get much of that in the bpl. dont get me wrong, im actually one of his supporters as i've seen him play a couple of times back in his roma days n was sad to see him struggle to cope in his first season here. raul still finding his feet clearly in terms of match fitness due to missing the first game in china. credit to adam, his first goal ! he and cole was the outstanding one in the first half. both trying their best to supply something to carroll. anyways, i salivate at the prospect of aqua suarez n gerrard playing together or even adam as they are all intelligent players with kuyt and lucas and henderson the more hardworking efficient ones around. all supporting carroll. with the extra numbers we have in the squad am sure jova is pretty much on his way out. possibly even raul, n poulsen. lastly, hoping to see the likes of coady, flanno, robinson, shelvey build on the performances to further enhance their claims for first time in the near future. sadly pacheco wasnt given a run out.. wilson is still yet to convince me of his worth. and insua seems to have build his physique a lil more. cant wait for our next friendly against hull to see downing and doni get a chance to play. interesting to see how kenny n clarke sets the team about as for now, nobody knows, its just a guessing game smile.gif

Yet another retard. When M'sia played their heart out to prove that they are not a walk in the park, people like you come out and implying things like "Malaysia only managed to score because Liverpool is a weaker team compared to Arsenal"?

I pray that you are not a Malaysian cause awak ni hanya memalukan nama Malaysian sahaja.

this i agree. i honestly say that we are still not as good in terms of keeping possesion as arsenal is. and our defence look shaky at times without lucas around in front of them. spearing ventured forward a couple of times. u must understand, arsenal played at night where it is cooler and higher humidty, while we started in the evening while the sun is still around. plus, when msia got beaten soundly 4-0 by ars, m sure raja isnt happy with the team n gave them the hairdryer treatment. plus we cheered when msia came on to warm up. more fans around adds on to more determination. and this is our very fast time here in msia. we do not know much what to expect whereas this is arsenal's 4th visit the previous back in 1999. but just because msia put 3 past our defence does not mean arsenal is better than us. football like most sports is a funny game. u can beat an european champion in barca one day and 3 days later lose to the likes of wigan and wolves in the league. does this mean wigan/wolves is better than barca? whistling.gif
