My FL is giving me more worries nowaday, it has clocked 8.4k milleage and the engine is giving very loud 'roar' sound every time I start to rev higher 3.5k above..I can even feel the accelerator pedal is vibrating more compare to previously sad.gif is it due to the engine oil? can i change it b4 10k?

One more question, is there any good SC recommended? I mean real good in troubleshooting problem for my car. Currently there is visible sound from tyre there, like something wanna drop when i go through holes, steering also vibrate sad.gif
I dont mind how far is the SC as long as my car problem can be reactify and fix.

THANKS a lot guys

Hi guys,

First of all, thanks for all the fast reply..let me explain in more detail about the 2 problem I face on my car.
For the vibrating issue, it only occur recently whereby when I rev my car up to 4k, the engine sound is not as fine as b4 and my pedal can feel the vibration even I m wearing sport shoes, below rpm 3k there is no such vibrating problem.

2nd problem is kind of hard to explain here, all I can say is the sound ONLY appear when low speed, 10km/h - 20km/h and the sound only appear on the right bottom part of the car..everytime when u go accross holes or those patched-up "longkang" on the road, there is sound like 2 metal bar hitting to each other and at the same time my steering wheel can feel the metal bar hitting below the tyre part and thus causing "jerking" or vibration. This phenomena is more obvious when my car steer to the right and at the same time go over holes or sharp object. I send to 3 SC in puchong for several time and everytime they tested my car they drive around 60-80km/h and say " Eh tak ada problem ah" =.= padahal I told them to slow down at the first place. At the end, all 3 SC give me the same answer, "Tat sound is from suspension/absorber there memang like tat "keras" one, cant do anything one, spray spray WD40 and give me the car key back"

NEed some pro sifu here plz and sorry for the long explanation =(

Well, the one in Shah Alam is the Center Of Excellence.

Unlike my fren who wanted to claim his IAFM and waited 3 days, I got mine on the spot and its covered under warranty.

thanks ericmaxman for that smile.gif , I will try to make appointment with them n send my car on Wednesday.
Hopefully the problem can be rectified, finger crossed.

One more thing, just called Proton COE for booking..all full till 21st of May ==
Anybody has 2nd alternative Service center which is on par with COE?
Wanna send my car for checking.

Thanks a lot.

it depends bro, i dealt with alot of saga customers that want to peel off the original film coz it fades, bubbles and etc. so i do not recommend you to tint 2 layers over the ori layer coz if 1 layer screws up then there goes ur second layer. If JPJ kacau then lagi cham.

You can still get good tinting outside. OEM or ori from proton doesnt mean its the best rite..? It might look nice when new but we dunno wat will happen after awhile.  smile.gif
*
Since most of the comment indicate that the original tint from proton is not good, so can I just apply a normal cheap tint first? then if touchwood the first layer got bubble or peel off, at least I wont be so pain ..and then only I remove both tint and install one good tint set. Is it advisable to do like this? Bcz not to say I am stuborn la but I abit "unwilling" to peel off my new car original tint blush.gif

just remove the ones from proton...it has poor workmanship
it's not the tint that is not good...it's the workmanship
so problem can come anytime
so i suggest remove that layer and install the one u want with GOOD WORKMANSHIP...very important
cuz how long the tint gonna last rely solely on the workmanship
dn't let those young adult that install the whole car within 30 minute do your tinting
*
thanks for this precious advise, I always thought the quality of tint in our car is lie on the quality of the tint....now I know is depend on the workmanship rather than the tint quality smile.gif

Anyway Mr_alien, do u hv any idea which SC is best recommend for checking my car problem? since COE is fully booked until 21st of June 2011. Any where is fine for me bcz now my 1st priority is to get my car problem fix.

Many thanks

it's not "luck" problem
double tint is absolutely illegal
if tinting itself still have some limit...double tint is totally illegal

u can try EA...by howie choo and some other member
lots of good review from other ppl that install there...u can try there

double tint is illegal, seriously? shit that mean if I wanna put a tint which come with safety tint and heat rejection and with a good quality, it will surely cost more than 1k cry.gif

Thanks for that piece of information Mr_alien

Hi..

I just took my new saga fl 1.3 executive auto around 3 weeks ago.Currently it reaches 1k service already.my mileage shows 1035 km.is it ok if we exceeded extra 35 km ? at the same time, my sales men who sold the card said the 1 k service will come around rm 100 + only but when i brought the car to the service center his charging rm 190.he says they are using semi synthetic oil, change oil filter then add one device for the very first 1k service.the device will absorb some metals from black oil and keep it clean. He said to me first the service all included with the device cost rm 260- 290 then i said out of budget.then he says nevermine, we do it for u for rm 190 inclusive the extra parts also.he says the rm 100+ charges is for normal black oil and theirs one is semi synthetic oil.thats why extra.so now i have to pay rm 190.i was planning to bring service after this for next 5k service outside to my mechanic.i and my family been servicing to the mechanic for 20 years only for our old cars before this.please advise me.my mechanic telling its better for the first 3 service bring to proton to avoid any warranty problem but i fell proton is overkilling in the charges.the same 1k service if i do at my mechanic going to cost rm 100+ only.bring to sc or my mechanic better and is it ok?
*
it is advisable to service yr car with Proton SC, that few extra buck is worth to spend. Touchwood u wanna claim any part for warranty,it is FOC.
Btw my first service was around RM129 like that..I think they include the price of that "absorb-device" in yr bill that is why it costRm190. If I am not mistaken all new proton car will be using Semi syn from SC during the first 3 services by default.

This petrol with water issue has been around for a loooooong time liao leh..I bet u r "lucky" Mr_alien to be able to witness those ppl to pour water into the thank, at the mean time r those ppl dump to pour water into the tank in the public ? They don't scare ppl complain ah ? LOL

I am experienced this same issue once, maybe u guys hear b4..it happened way back ~10 years ago at Sri Manjung, Perak , anyone know this place? There is one Petronas station there,I think they refill too much of water and at the end 5 user's (I think if not mistaken) car which ONLY pump their petrol log a complain when their car acting weird after pumping the petrol for quite sometime and end up engine totally 'kong'. 5 of the car was checked and verified that it was due to the petrol which contain high level of foreign substance aka water. The owner of the petrol station was sued and paid the owners compensation. The petrol station was then closed down for awhile but not quite long later, it resume operation shakehead.gif Until today they are still ppl putting petrol from that station despite this incident. blink.gif

Just wanna share with u guys =)

Got my car to the Puchong SC, one problem solved (well not 100% bcz I still can hear some tok tok sound but not as bad as b4) which make me worry free now hehe. The mechanic told me it was the Fender which causing the problem, thus knocking the tyre and causes some 'knocking sound'. However the pedal vibration is still there, so 50% of the total problem still there but I am glad that this SC can rectify the knocking problem where the others SC I went couldn't. I will go back to this SC for sure =) and their service is good 9/10 ( one lady come to me and ask me if I am thirsty, she then makes some milo and give it to me personally, first time I see such service) 2 thumbs up.

Not to forget u guys here in this forum, thanks for the help and heads up, u guys rockzz!!!

went for 10K servicing last Saturday, I told the SC to use lighter oil and they recommend me 10w-30 which cost RM102 compare with 10w-40 RM97, total bill is RM185...is this cheap?

After servicing, I feel my car lighter and pickup time is significantly noticeable =)

10w-30 is cheaper than 10w-40
u can consider it cheap cuz 10w-40 now is no more RM97....it's RM100++ already
*
harh u mean the price for 10w-40 is suppose to be cheaper than 10w-40 ?? Why the SC fella told me it is more exp geh..it is bcz they use more than 1 bottle of the oil? bcz I saw them pouring 1 big bottle of 10w-30 and another half small bottle of 10w-30 in my car.

hmmmm...I thought Petronas 10w-30 is better than 10w-40 thus the price is more exp. Now I am confused, meaning to say the higher number (e.g 40 > 30) of the engine oil mean more exp ? rclxub.gif

yes....if u go shop survey...10w-40 is more expensive than 10w-30
but 10w-40 is not RM97 already...it's over RM100++
not sure your 10w-30 consider cheap or not but petronas motor oil for me quite suck
*
hmm..does tat mean I am using a lower grade oil instead of the better 10w-40? haizz..i thought of using Eneos semi-syn oil which I heard is quite good and I tested in in my old iswara and it was proven to be better in terms of engine sound pickup but according to my SC, he say I can bring my own oil but if anything happen to the engine, they cant claim warranty for it..so I decided to stick with their Petronas oil. =(
