agreed.

it gives more feedback and more confident to corner faster. And to prevent the car to "wobble" when driving with one hand.

some japanese brand car has steering so light that I actually "wobble" the car left and right since most of the time I hold the steering wheel at the 3 o clock position only. Then I see all cars will be trailing me with a space to put in a Mercedes S600 Pullman. sweat.gif

toyota is the best example
their steering feels so light...it feels nothing
u can see their driver always drives with 2 hand tightly wrapped at the steering wheel
*
they spend money for their "luxury car" but has no confidence in it. laugh.gif

Anyways, I would like to know how the Saga feels when outstation travelling. I'll be travelling across states most of the time and that Myvi with its sampan characteristic and also light steering (Thanks, Toyota, lol) is a definite no no for me. Normally on highways I'll do 100-130km/h most of the time.

My current Japanese Brand car has since been returned to my friend because it has a lot of problems like cracked wheel bearing and a slightly crooked driveshaft. Now considering between a second hand 08' Saga and 06' Waja. Both are RM30k.

QUOTE(naruto_kun @ Jul 23 2011, 12:52 PM)
I had driven the car before quite recently...to be frank, pick up is much better compare to 1.3 at. A better car overall in city + highway driving. It felt smoother, less rubber band effect, and tbh, not as slugish as i would have thought. smile.gif
Definitely waja is a better cruiser. Overall feel alo a different class. Firm and more stable ride. Better in cornering as well tongue.gif.  But i think you should try the FLX as well before decide if you are looking for a band new car.
*
I'm not looking for a brand new car. I'm looking at two second hand cars, one is a 2006 Waja Enhance and another is a 2008 BLM. Both is auto. I have a very lazy left foot. I'm very attracted to the Waja, but I'm concerned about the age of the car. =\

Perhaps I'll go check the FLX out tomorrow.

QUOTE(sg999 @ Jul 23 2011, 12:53 PM)
heavy steering maybe help in highway drive
no more shaking steering like old myvi
new myvi equipped with EPS, will better?
*
depends on the EPS set up, some electric steering offers lesser feedback and featherweight steering compared to the conventional hydraulic set up.

QUOTE(lhwj @ Jul 23 2011, 01:36 PM)

The only drawback is the loud engine drone at 4k RPM. I'm perfectly okay with the NVH. Even managed to have a good conversation with my friend along the way icon_idea.gif

*
nah, its ok with the NVH. Honda cars aren't that quiet either. I'm already used to it.

hmm...both also good
waja without lotus handling also feels good
it depends which one u wants
but for me i'd take the newer car because lesser problems
it also depends on the mileage
*
yea, thats why I am scratching my head like mad now.

The older car with 70k km is better equipped with airbags and ABS etc.

The saga only done 30k km and the only advantage it has over the waja is its age, so lesser things to worry about.

wuuu...this one not sure oh
for saga...someone got ask...80k super major service will cost RM800+
mine also need to start asking already
but different SC will have different price depending on what they change
waja i think u better prepare at least RM1k+....more expensive car usually part also more expensive
or u can search around the internet...ask around...gather a list of parts that should be changed on 80k KM
thn go spare part shop ask what price they offer
*
in that case, the BLM would make a better buy already. hmm.gif

Whats the next service interval for BLM after 35k km and what needs to be replaced?

thn it's the tyres
if u want ...change to a better tyre

Added on July 24, 2011, 2:57 pm
that's inspira ma
saga also full size spare tyre
but original tyre they provide us with silvertone low spec tyre...and another one i forgot what brand
not much traction and quiet noisy
now that my tyres thread gone already..i changed to conti CC1
it's more quiet and traction is quiet good but abit more expensive than the stock tyre
that's only front tyre using conti....rear tyre also change but use back stock brand one cuz rear wheel doesn't have to steer
*
aik, newer ones using silverstone already?

I remember my friend's blm is using goodyear when he got his car. he also said that good year is crap tyre. lol

2 days without internet sucks... sad.gif

Anyway, went to Proton showroom yesterday, being told the waiting period for FLX is a staggering 1 month for both CVT Standard and CVT Executive.

sweat.gif

So I go see a few 2nd hand units with my parents. One unit the condition is near perfect, and another unit the steering wheel vibrates vigorously even during idle. Then there is another unit which I rather doubt the mileage. 2008 car but only 18k km... hmm.gif

This year car, yes, auto. 2011 FL. Mileage is about 8400~8500km right now. So far, this is the worst FC i got from all the times i've been pumping. Average was about 300~320km. Hahahah
*
oh, ok. its new. lolz.

coz I am pretty sure almost all new BLM owners will experience super duper bad FC before the 2nd and/or 3rd service.

+1

But sometimes when those annoying-think-myVi-Is-Passo bragging their FC really make me sick!
*
at least your (I'll leave me out first since I am still pending XD) car wont topple over when corner

It is irritating to tailgate a Myvi when a corner approaches, coz they HAVE TO brake till less than 10kph in order not to topple over. As a result, massive traffic jams occur especially at KL.

CVT?? Somehow VVT reminds me of T
*
CVT = transmission

VVT = some engine part not related to transmission which controls the air intake.

Speaking of this, when I go to Proton showroom to see the FLX, the SA go tell my parents new Saga got new engine... doh.gif

Transmission change = new engine. lolz
