well I would like touch on the car's FC
anyone heard on IG1, 2 , 3 and 4 for the car's ECU? it's something like a mode preset where 4 might be for performance and lower number for low performance but FC wise is better
I complaint about my FC to SC as I believe many owner are facing this problem too unless you are cruising at the highway a lot. The mechanic plug in the comp and said my mode is at IG1 and he changed it to IG2. from what he claimed, it helps the transmission shift faster and maybe save a bit on the FC
after changing mode, I dont see any difference in rpm speed for gear shift and FC. Sometimes I felt it have to reached 2k - 2.2k rpm only it would change gear. Previously, 1.8k rpm would change gear if I'm really light foot and not in a rush
1 thing that has improved my FC is the brand of petrol. I used to pump Shell for a very long time and constantly pump with RM50 = 26.315L. My car could only go for 220 - 235km (depending on traffic, drive speed and frequency of air-con off and on). After Petronas Xtra came out, I decided to change brand and here's the result.
1st pump = around 260Km
2nd pump = around 260 - 270km (Push the limit further as no petronas station nearby)
3rd pump = 250 - 253km
I'm at fourth round now and I'm thinking of giving ESSO a try too to see if it's more fuel efficient than petronas could offer
