well...with lighter oil...2-2.2k can actually mean 2.5k when using 15w-40
so lighter oil = no need to rev high also fast
if u want faster while want to maintain FC....2.4K is more than enough...at least for me
in normal start on green traffic light...2.4k is very fast for me already
some 4WD also lose to me....in my place that is...only lose to viva only...viva is pickup fast, top speed low

How come my SAGA BLM full tank of gas kenot even reach 300km in Cyberjaya roads? No aggressive driving and racing. Jz normal driving to campus and go restaurant eating and jusco buying groceries. Everytime around 280km the fuel signal lighted up already. Btw, my saga is the very first batch of BLM, izzit that the very first batch a little different? please advice.
*
1) Maybe I missed it but do you drive auto or manual? Your FC looks like you drive auto.

2) If your signal lighted up precisely at 280km, you can still go maybe around 30-50 km safely, depending on traffic.

3) If you really want to measure FC, you should use the proper method to measure:-
a) Fill to full tank.
b) Reset your odometer
c) Drive like normal
d) When it's time to refill, make sure you refill to full tank.
e) Make a note of how far you travel and how much you refill. Calculate it as km/l. This is your real consumption.
f) Repeat steps b -> e

4) Do you keep your tires inflated? Make sure you repump your tires every 2 - 4 weeks.

5) Keep your revs between 2000 - 3000 RPM.

waffak 58.4km first bar dropped

Aiyah, you should know that measuring FC based on bars is not accurate mar.

Anyways, mine goes around 20 - 30+ km only, ok? But auto lar. laugh.gif

QUOTE(Aishinka @ Jun 12 2011, 02:31 PM)
i sometimes rev till 5k-6k rpm. last night 150km/h all the way on NKVE, first bar dropped at 60++km. 2nd bar dropped at 120km. effects of driving like an idiot. lol.
*
I occasionally rev like an orang gila as well. Every once in awhile I do it just to stretch my Saga's legs a bit. lol.

LIZ, try reset your ECU by removing the ECU fuse at your fuse box.

My friend who was driving a BLM have the same mileage as you no matter how he drives. He went to Proton SC and they did some tweaking tune, it improves a littles but still cant go through the 300km mark even he drive at constant speed. Then i suggest him to reset his ECU by removing the fuse. Now he can hit the 400km mark provided if drive constantly. His car is 1 year old+, he is quite a heavy foot driver when he first got his car, maybe the ECU has learn all his heavy driving pattern / style.

No harm trying to reset ur car ecu wink.gif

Jz to be sure. If we wanna reset the ECU of my Saga BLM, I just pull out the fuse stated "ECU 15A" for 10mins then plug it back in. Do I complete the whole process with my car engine off or I do have to start the engine in the middle of the process?

After resetting the ECU, is the any immediate effects I can feel? Or any indication that the ECU has been reset?

I normally wouldn't advise people who don't know what they're doing to tinker around with their car.

But if LizStephenie does reset ECU, please rev the car hard for awhile after that.

You cannot start the engine without the ECU fuse. The engine won't even crank. Been there, done that tongue.gif

Also there are two ECU fuses. One in the engine bay and another in the compartment next to the driver door. Don't know if you have to pull out both. I tried leaving them out for five days or so while I went away to JB. Didn't feel any difference hmm.gif
