at least this kind of block can be easily bypassed. i think gov on the losing side in this. let assume from all internet user in malaysia about 1m ppl use the file hosting site regularly. and among 1m about 50% computer literate enough to bypass and continue downloading. thats 500k user downloading daily.

it too many to keep track. imagine if gov giving out warning letters to those downloader. 500k letters everyday lol. unless gov do something like china - make a huge team filtering the internet and monitoring, the blockage wont do much.

Letter dated May 30. Action required within 2 days. Doubt it's gonna happen. Blocking those filehosting sites is just a dumb idea. And where's the legendary Rapidshare?

Anyway it's obvious they now have a loop hole about the no censorship thing. Copyright song/movie is illegal so block, porn is illegal so block, Malaysiakini and other online news sites after review of the press act in Malaysia will be considered illegal then block. So much for no censorship.
