Hrmm... The wifi thingy TM give you is effective until what distance? One more thing is they'll give you a fixed line which enables us to make free call to all TM operators rite? Can we change it to our existing phone number? Its quite troublesome having to use a new phone number zz.. One more thing, is the phone line like old time jaring, you can't use the phone line while you're on the internet?

The UniFi download speed is the same regardless whether you are downloading from local server or non-local server?

It is same as you calling to their call center, they also create this ticket report to their technical department.
Why don't we skip calling them and by create our own report. After that they will call you to settle it.
If you call them, they make the same report also wait plus more days only call back you.

No, dependence on local or international and the server quality or server internet line on the other site.
Too many factor to consider, for example you download from Africa, what do you expect the speed?

Is there anyway to boost the signal or add an intermediate router or what so that the signal that arrives at the laptop is stronger hmm.gif

Is there a limit for how many people can subscribe for UniFi in an area? Or they just keep accepting people without a care in the world?

hi guys,

i just got my UniFi today but sadly my room has no signal at all. I have to go to the living room (where the set is stalled) to get my connection.

I searched previous threads and found many ppl talking about replacing DIR-615. My question is what is a DIR-615? Cox I dun seem to have this router. I only have the RG (TMRND Gen 1.0), the BTU, the box for the TV and the phone.

Please advice.

How far is your room from the living room? Roughly?

If UniFi is used, that means subscribers can only listen to the phone at one place? We cannot have multiple phones located around the house?

Nope, not extra cable being pulled. Just normal. I guess that's a rip off.

Maybe your house is considered hard to be accessed. So they charge extra????

Why don't you just keep the old number?
They don't force you to terminate the line.
