Darktenno, I just try to connect them and see if that works thats all. And it does !

Since I am a complete noob in this issue, and no one gave me any solution at that time, trial & Error is the only way to go for me. Now at my room upstair, one single network cable 5e supplies info for both internet and IPTV with no problem at all.

so which one is easier and more user friendly?

the W8960N or WR841N ?

Both also more or less the same. However go for the W8960N. Its latest and don't need much config.

The switch received two connections, one from the RED and another from the BLUE Lan socket.

ah no wonder you can get internet and iptv working you connect both port doh.gif, which also can be a bad thing creating unnecessary traffic to both IPTV and switch biggrin.gif I rather stick 1 dedicated port for IPTV and rest for internet. well i havent get to reconfigure my network setup as I just got unifi installed this morning and still at work most probably tomorrow biggrin.gif

I agree with you. I would also prefer to use dedicated cable just for the IPTV. But too bad I already have only one cable embedded in the wall during house renovation, can't change that for the time being.

Not sure, might have something to do with the maintenance. For now, I'll just wait and see how it goes since it's said that the maintenance will be from the 25th - 31st July. unsure.gif
