Staff price for unifi is no big secret:
http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1902525

Besides the above thread, it was also mentioned every now and then in the main unifi thread, even during the early days. tongue.gif

Bros, i just had my unifi installed.

need help with stb. Due to wiring limitation, i can only fix my unifi on 2nd floor. I connect the homeplug to the wifi router and another homeplug to another router below.

I can share internet without a problem. The only thing is the iptv is not working. Somehow TM hardcoded the iptv to LAN4 on the wifi router. If i plug straight into it iptv works, but if i go through homeplug it doesn't.

I tried plugging homeplug straight into LAN4 and another homeplug into the IPTV also won't work.

Please advise bros sad.gif

Also, i would like to change the admin password to the wifi router, admin/admin is only operator status, anyone can provide tmadmin password? I tried tmadmin and it doesn't work sad.gif

He said that he did the overhead ceiling install, so if I went through the official channel and mark that, I will need to pay TM RM315. So to save me money, he proposed a deal where I pay a discounted installation bribe to him.

I declined and said mark it down first, I'll discuss with TM whether it's really an overhead ceiling installation. Later before he left, he said tak apa, he'll just leave it unmarked. Heh.

Just got my Unifi VIP20 fixed last Friday after 1 month of waiting. Sunway Area.

So last Friday 3 technician came to my house and spent 4 hours walking up and down to look for the switch and stuff... Don't know what were the doing...

Long story short, 2 hours after they setup the connection, my DSL light on Huawei HG655a went off and even direct connect my phone to the line also no sound.... (1st complain). Touch the Huawei HG655a BTU, it was so hot.

2nd morning DSL light normal again... So I plan to start to do some testing with the download speed. Everything was fine... 25M average speed for all kind of services.

But I start to think it could perform more and I want to login to the modem to change some setting... ZZZ... But the router+modem restart so slow... and I cant even go in to the master admin site to change a single setting.

Call them up, funny thing is they ask me to spoil the modem myself only they willing to change to the old batch of modem and gateway. I as, Iked the staff, are u kidding me? isn't this conversation is being recorded? This is not funny, please pass me to ur superior right now~~ Amazingly, the superior also told me the same thing. They will not simply change the modem + gateway unless it is spoil. Fine. No need change... Can i have the Admin access with advance settings then? She said no, even she got no access for that... WTF~? Want to bull shit me until like that.

Fedup right now,

Tried http://unifi.athena.my instruction to retrieve the username and password from my gateway and router. Last time long time ago it worked for my old but SuperB router Linksys WRT54GL which already flashed to Tomato latest firmware...

Right now I have a Huawei gateway which i use it to direct connect to the phone line now.

A good looking but lousy firmware RG TMRND Gen 1.0 Wireless router

A linksys WRT54GL wireless router, a IPTV box, a 32inch LG LED TV with HDMI, a Desktop which must be connected to LAN, a laptop, 2 Iphone 2 blackberry, and all this device will be within 400sq feet only.

What option do I have now and can someone please PM with the admin username and password? Telekom even blocked my access to view anything related to the gateway and router they gave me. I have to use VPN only I can view this thrend. Zzzz icon_question.gif

My friend also had a problem similar to yours and the answer is the homeplug itself. If you don't mind, please share which homeplug you bought so that we could avoid it. Also, just to double check ... use the homeplug and plug it to your notebook or PC. If your PC / notebook is able to connect to the internet then homeplug is not the problem.

If this is confirmed, please get yourself a better homeplug and should solve your problem.
I'm using homeplug (and many others in here) without any problems.
