Gundams beyond Universal Century are never balance anyway. While they are 4 Gundams against the 3 big ones, CB is still a complete organization with technical, information, etc. to support and they even have VEDA. Look at Gundam W, 5 Gundams terrorizing fighting the whole world without any support except Quatre and his small team, and maybe Duo with some support from Howard. Trowa can even rip the whole battle group of underwater MS with only a dagger...

Turn A's dead count is very low. Even the 6-episode Gundam 0080 has more dead... not to mention a nuke-blast that took only one life...

In fact the remastered UC gundam can match the animation standard even up to date. I just watched 1080p Gundam F91 recently, it's like a modern anime giving you an old school feel.
