I hope they can make it like other toy fighting anime, e.g. gunpla fight is serious business. Yu Gi-Oh manage to do that, but its because Dark Yugi and other ancient persona has a power to punish people who lost the battle.

Maybe that red haired boy is very special since he suddenly appear on top of the construction building out of nowhere and disapear like Batman like he is very mysterious being who exist only to compete in gunpla battle.

lol anything is possible, but magic characters aint happening in gundam. maybe the gunpla he build is vv special, and military want to extract the data and make real sized gundam and terrorized the world.

imo i think that boy may be a newtype.

as for 1st episode, nothing connected with gunpla builder...just the anime concept thats it, and 1st episode is quite cool..

gotta say i enjoyed the first episode... wasnt having any high expectations but it did delivered... i'll miss the whole war and philosophical aspect of gundam though =(

If a card game anime can has a dark ancient persona, and a bead shooting toy anime can have a dragon spirit resides in it, why not gunpla?

Its like watching an anime about people playing Gundam VS but using gunpla that they have build themselves.

but this anime more brutal a bit where u see the gundam model been destroy/break till very bad.

Not to mention the explosion effect, the scared and sweaty face when the pilot/controller in the brink of getting their gunpla being anihilated or when they are in the pinch, and their screaming when the gunpla exploded.

It does give the aura of the real battle, since gunpla battle is treated as battle simulation by those who play it.

imo, Yu gi oh & b daman have those because it was intended to me made that way, they are known for those. But gundam arent known for those.
