I have been trying to setup IPSEC VPN connections between 2 offices over Unifi for a long time. So far, no luck.
Currently, the 2 VPN routers are connected using Streamyx. Can anyone tell me how to go about it? Or maybe it is a firmware problem?
VPN Router Model: SMCBRVPN21 VPN Connection: IPSEC with 3DES encryption

QUOTE(JinXXX @ Jun 9 2011, 01:02 PM) what does the vpn tunnel logs says ? It just trying to authenticate, eventually timed out. Added on June 9, 2011, 1:25 pmI have not tried using DIR615 as VLAN bridge as per guide from unifi.athena.my. I will post back if it works. Or not. You Never Walk Alone

Are you using Fix IP Unifi package?
if yes, please use another IP, don't use their default engineer's setup, the engineer will NAT it for u. you suppose to get yourip/30, u should have 2 IPs by default set your DIR-615 to routing mode instead of NAT-ing mode

OK. This is what I managed to get it up and running.
Since 1 side is dynamic and 1 side is fixed IP, I use the VLAN bridging method for dynamic side, and keep the default setting for fixed IP side. Then, I configured my SMC router to dial out (dynamic IP side). And guess what? IT WORKS!
Seems like DLink DIR-615 (G1 with 7.05b) is having problem with VPN over NAT, at least the PPTP authentication part. If the NAT is out, it works.
My problem solved.

My DLink DIR-615 (G2 with 7.09) has no VLAN bridging configuration field showed in athena.unifi! Gosh~
I'm trying to perform dial-up using my Firewall to utilize its IPsec VPN feature.

Hello Everyone,
Not sure if anyone is still following this thread.
I'm trying to set up my home pc as a VPN server to connect at work. Forwarded port 1723 and tried to connect via the public from my phone. I tried both on work and cellular network, I can't get through. This is my first time trying this out, please advise if i'm missing any step. Thanks.
