Sometimes i think that some are taking advantage of this issue and blaming the government rather than looking deeper into the issue and finding out why. I guess it's normal human nature to complain and blame rather than to investigate.

blink.gif you may be right
maybe the US is behind all this because most of the files shared on those sites are Hollywood movies
and when our politicians made thei visit to US they were told to block those sites
that's why SKMM chose those sites and not jiwang.org which shares more local movies and songs
could this be a new form of colonialism??? shakehead.gif

That's the most stupid statement ever made for an excuse.

It shows they know nuts or nothing if they fell for it by pleasing 'YES' for everything. Probably they didn't even know what's file hosts are when they went for free holiday trip then.In their minds are just well might as well enjoy the sightseeing trip and YES to everything my host says.

How come isps in other countries like Singapore, Thailand, Australia, NZ, Vietnam, Europe or even Americans weren't pressured for such demands?

lol if it's true then that shows how brainless our politicians are
I bet other countries would have predicted how their citizens would react to it if they block those sites
but our politicians just simply made the decision without discussing it with the public
they think doing something that other countries haven't done before is a great achievement sweat.gif

must be because they want to achieve the "program transformasi kerajaan" so every department or ministry want to change something that has a big impact whistling.gif

probably the real reason is rollout of unifi.

by introducing unifi yet tmnet doesnt want to fork out extra money to buy extra bandwidth.....

I have been barking bout unifi since long time. everyone puts a blind eye.

i already forecast drastic policy will be implemented to solve bottlenecks caused by unifi.

so, this isnt a big suprise anyway
*
that's another problem with our government
they don't have a long term infrastructure planning
they only upgrade everything little by little
not only the telecommunication lines but also the public transport and roads

they introduced unifi but the infrastructure needed is still not enough to support the demand
it's like adding a new lane to the highway but the amount of vehicles in the country has already doubled tripled/increased more than the additional lane can cope up with yawn.gif

and the solution to reduce the traffic is by taking down file sharing websites
it's like telling people to buy cars but they have to take the public transportation instead sweat.gif
