can retinapad run on jb ipad 1 or just can run on ipad 2 only? what is the % of successful rate is with all the apps from iphone?

I bought a 2nd hand ipad 1 with some original apps purchased from the previous owner. Question is if i sync / backup with my id then only update to 5.0.1 to jb from 4.3.3 will the apps still available or will itunes delete it because it was purchased with a different id? How to transfer the apps to my id? Thanks
