You can only upgrade to a firmware version that is no longer signed by Apple if you have the SHSH for the firmware version saved somewhere. If you do not have the SHSH, then you will not be able to upgrade to that version.

it is ipad1 and ipad 2 having the same firmware ? i want to jailbreak my ipad 2 firmware 4. 3.5 using redsnow and ipad 1 4.3.5 firmware . it is possible ?

No. The firmware number is the same but it is different version (iPhone and iPod also 4.3.5, but it's totally different). iPad 2 can only be jailbroken if it is on 4.3.3 . hi everyone.. i just bought my iPad2 16GB Wifi Only White..
My FW is 4.3.2 .. is there a way to jailbreak it? how to upgrade to 4.3.3? try googling around but it seems only jailbreakme 3.0 for 4.3.3.. |

Hi, I just got a new ipad 2 as my present yesterday.
It is ipad 2 with a version of 4.3.5. I have been googling around and notice there will be no JB for v4.3.5 because it will be waste of time and resources just to JB this version where there is ios5 available now. My question is, is it ok if i upgrade my ipad to ios 5 while waiting for the ios5 JB version?or i should just stick to this version first? Any answer would be much appreciated. Thanks! |
