My friend have an ipad 1 on 4.2.1....if he want to upgrade to ios 4.3.3,what should he do?
I already told him that, it can not be done since now ios 4.3.5...it's true?

If he has never jailbroken before, he may not have saved his SHSH for 4.3.3, so he will not be able to upgrade to 4.3.3

Does it work for 3g version?

This is my experience. I sent in 3 iPad for warranty fix to Machines KLCC.

1. My ipad 2 was on 4.3.3 (jailbroken) and I restored it to 4.3.5 to get my warranty - I got a new replacement set on 4.3.3
2. My wife's was on 4.3.1 (not jailbroken) - got new replacement on 4.3.3 (which I promptly jailbreak)
3. My father in-law's iPad 1 was on 4.3.1 (jailbroken) - restored it to 4.3.5 for warranty and got a new unit as replacement on 4.3.3

So ALL the replacement unit is on 4.3.3 while the units on sale is on 4.3.5.

The ONLY way to jailbreak an iPad 2 is IF your iPad 2 is on 4.3.3. You just need to visit www.jailbreakme.com

There is no other way and no other firmware version.

Wow, 3 ipad 2 have problem? now it worries me since I going to get an ipad2 soon. Izzit the light leaking problem, bro?

BTW, anyone tried any Apps for restoring the Cydia's Apps and Packages? Either updating a newer JB'ed FW or migrating from another iPad?

I think most are with higher FW than 4.3.3 if you're getting from the Official Premium Apple Reseller but if you really insist a 4.3.3 FW you need to pay extra bucks.
