I play most of the time on the PS3 and most friends who has R3 also plays on the PS3, none of them have the issue.

Looks like it's only for the PSV users here.

I kinda wish there was a "Refresh" button while you're looking at your friend's status so you can join his/her room faster.
Recalled there are times where they kept showing they're in the shop/town/etc but they're telling me they're all waiting in the gate/stables ages ago.

Bloody thing just won't update.

In order to start going online, you need to complete the first 9 initial bosses.
Or when you start to see the narrator going, "You need 9 Talismans" blablabla.

That's when your online mode will be unlocked.

A friend of mine has R3 copy for PS3 and R1 copy for PSV and both works fine.

So no, the region won't cause any problems with the save files.
Just need to use back the same PSNID.
