Islam said cannot consume anything that is addictive. Article says patrons said Nasi Ganja is addictive. So those this mean Nasi Ganja is haram?
nasi ganja is addictive as it really taste good. and addictive in islam simply means if it could affect your health, both physically and mentally.
for example taking drugs, alcohol and nasi ganja
take drug and you will end up being a drug addict, which eventually will affect your health, your body will lose its immunity and you might end up dead.
the same goes for alcohol. a little of it will definitely makes you want even more and end you will drunk and lost control of yourself and eventually could lead to another accident
nasi ganja, consume it, you will fill up your stomach full and you will satisfy. it does not stop you from doing your job, doing your prayer, and you can still drive your car safely. but you will feel tempting to have it, so the next day you will come and have it. eventually you will get boring of having too much of curry and spicy and you will start to find another type of food, chinese perhaps. a correct word to say that this nasi ganja is delicious, could be tempting, not addictive.
so both drug and alcohol are haram. nasi ganja on the other hand, is far from haram, unless it does contain haram element (i.e pork) in it.
well, that is an explaination from my muslim friend. hope it helps.
